I was thinking this would make a nice Christmas gift but that price is pretty insane for a book, hopefully it's worth it for those buying. I might be tempted!

(the book does not include information on)" the design team, the creative process or product development"
I'd much prefer to read about this interesting stuff.

Regarding the first picture, which most people have a grudge against the most, you can charge this thing for 2 MINUTES to get 9 HOURS of battery life. If it really bothers you, charge it overnight.

I agree it doesn't look great but it's not an issue.
Well, that it doesn't great is a major issue for a design book that is all about looks, don't you think?

There is no shortage of hubris at Infinity Loop these days. Sad thing is, when you look at this book and see the Jobs era products and then directly compare with the non-Jobs era ones you have to ask why there is so much hubris there. Whatever great stuff Ive designed in tadem with Jobs that magic is missing with Cook.

As a PR move Apple should released a free iBook version too. Also why now? Why not at an Apple incorporation anniversary date or something. Does Apple really think it's going to make bank on these as holiday gifts? If they sell 5K worldwide at full price I'd be shocked.

$200/$300????
You better create a Jony Ive narrated video to explain the revolutionary way the paper is made or something if you think people are dumb enough to pay that.
"Through our revolutionary cutting process the pages are trimmed with precision never before seen in the book making industry. Aluminium!!!"

Buy a book with a picture or for the same price the real product.....

I did not know Apple was into inventing the premium book market too, I would stick to photos on internet and You Tube personally. One only for the serious collector I think.
