Regarding the first picture, which most people have a grudge against the most, you can charge this thing for 2 MINUTES to get 9 HOURS of battery life. If it really bothers you, charge it overnight.

I agree it doesn't look great but it's not an issue.

I know, it's not a big issue. But I think we all can agree it just looks really funny. :p

$200? $200? It better be wrapped in goat skin leather with 24k gold tint edges and a smyth-sewn binding done by magical Apple elves. $200. Ya right.

I don't even pay that much for my absurdly expensive Games-Workshop/Forgeworld books.

Give me the PDF version for $0

Really?
What happens when you won't be able to read PDF's in the future?

I get that the future is digital.
But the printed page, especially coffee table quality stuff is timeless.
Nothing like a tactile perfect bound book that will last for 100 years...never obsolete...unless the pages get stuck together. :)

I do like the concept of these books, but what justifies that price tag? Does the book contain some very nifty details about the way Apple approaches new ideas and designs or some other kind of special sauce? If it only contains really nice, high-detailed pictures of various Apple products throughout history I can't for the life of me figure out why it should cost so much?

I think it shows that Apple Execs are really out of touch with their customers. This book will make effectively no money for Apple. Its a book dedicated to someone Apple and people on this forum care about, and at the end of the day it's really just a book for fans. Why would you make a book for your fans just to kick them in the balls with the price?

I'm waiting for the Red Book, even if it costs $100 more.

It actually is an issue. The top of the Magic Mouse scratches very easily, so turning it over to charge is not the best idea.

Are we sure this isn't a link to The Onion? What incredibly absurd pricing. You can manufacture a $50 coffee table book and make a profit.

Yeah, $50 seems more reasonable for something like this - even $75. Not sure who would be willing to pay $200 for it.

If there is one thing I know after looking at that Iconic book website, its that Apple is really really terrible at designing mice and always has been

ha, yea right! Apple can give it to me for free, and I will still consider it is is worth having. After spending 10s of Ks on apple I'm not buying a book about it. Also seems like it always is, the apple loves to massage its own ego.
