Don't like saying it, but Steve would never have allowed the design on the 6. Looks like Jony on his own isn't as good without the master guiding him.

Thank you for that fact-free, impossible-to-substantiate analysis.

The question is, will you stop with the lazy ad hominems when the 6/6 Plus phones generate more than half of all the smartphone profits in 2015?

No. No, of course you won't.

I'm only half way through my contract on my 5s so I'll probably be waiting for the 6s or the 6s Plus to get one. Unless I can do an upgrade without penalty from my telco.

Disappointing that they didn't leave an option for people who like smaller phones. Based on android phones I've tried out in stores both of these are too big to use with one hand. Since they decided to have 2 sizes why couldn't they have left a 3rd smaller one?

Its called the 5c or 5s, can't wait to see them in store but I'd say day-to-day the 4.7 is probably not much bigger for most people.

How much would you expect the 6+ and 128GB to retail for? I'd really like to keep my unlimited data

Too bloody expensive in Europe!

Any ideas as to how much these will cost off-contract? Possibly $1000 for a 128GB 6 Plus?

You're right, I shouldn't be surprised. I guess I let personal motives cloud my judgement. I had a 64, I was hoping to save a couple of bucks by getting a 32 as a replacement. So much for that.

Technically speaking you will save a couple bucks because the 64GB phone is $299, the same price the 32GB use to be. The 128GB is now the price that the old 64GB was at $399. :D

4.7" definite buy

The iPhone 6 is a definite buy for me. I'm sticking to the smaller of the two because I don't comprehend the market shift to giant phones. (I suspect this sales data has been skewed due to a lot of undecided, price-oriented, low-engagement Samsung customers saying "Oh look, bigger must be better!")

Yep. If I had seen a picture of an iPhone 6 some years ago, I'd thought it was a Samsung copy. Those round edges look Android-ish. It lacks the robust and serious look of any Apple product you can imagine. The same goes for the watch, it doesn't look Apple design, and I'm not paying 350 for something without a serious and professional design.

I may be the only one still happy with their 4S.
Will wait this out and see how it feels and read a boatload of reviews.
Not really interested in a bigger phone in my pocket.

Not sure I agree. 16gb is barely enough even for a very light user. You get maybe 12gb for storage, and that is very quickly eaten up by apps and photos, let alone music if you store any on the phone. And don't even think about storing a movie on that.

my parents for example, only download a couple apps, and 12 GB is plenty for music or photos or videos taken by the camera. People with light usage habits like that make up a huge percentage of total users. Most people aren't tech geeks. movies on an iphone? lol, most normal people don't do that, small screens suck for movies.
