5s 64 cost the same as 6 64 ???

confused on the pricing.

if 5s prices come down $100

16=$99
32=$199
64=$299

but a 6 with 64 is $299

I'm pretty sure if they had the minimum at 32 GB, more people would be less inclined to go up. For me 32 is the real minimum. It doesn't really cost them that much to go from 32 to 64.

Yes, that's exactly why they've done it. They want to squeeze every last penny from the consumer, just plain and utter greed.

Yep... this is the same company that charges $900 for an 11" laptop.

Pure and utter greed indeed... but I like their software and hardware.

Oooo yeahhh!!! 1080p 5.5" screen!!!
For long I have wanted this, thank you apple

Hmm. Yes, the design of the phones is nice. But what happened to '3.5" is the perfect size for a phone' and 'the screen of the Galaxy Note is way too big'?

In their next iteration, the iPad Mini and the iPad Air will be able to make phone calls, too - then Apple's answer to Samsung's Galaxy Note product line will be complete.

Great... Yet another cable to have and I'm sure additional ones will be 20 more $.

I was a little disappointed in a few specs. A8 is only 25% faster than A7. Only 1 GB of RAM, only 16GB of storage. IF the A8 is truly 50% more efficient than the A7, as stated, and it has a larger battery than the 5S, why is the battery run times not significantly higher than 5S?

The watch is a total no-go for me. Its much to large and bulky. I prefer slim watches, and really love my Citizen Eco-Drive.

no tmo B12 support lol

Apple is still selling the iPhone 5c and 5s as their entry level iPhones - with 4" displays.

Disappointing that they didn't leave an option for people who like smaller phones. Based on android phones I've tried out in stores both of these are too big to use with one hand. Since they decided to have 2 sizes why couldn't they have left a 3rd smaller one?

still have the 5 and 5s or if you are mega hipster you could get the 4s with the 3.5inch screen!! ;)

So the only thing the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 huge have in common are their colour options and iOS 8.
Absolutely gutted if I'm honest feels like I'm getting mugged off just because I don't want an iPad Mini stuck to the side of my head....!

So someone is forcing you to buy either?

So instead of dropping 16GB and starting at 32GB, they keep 16GB drop 32GB and go right to 64GB.

D*** move.

Delightful? Delicious? Decisive?

Poor children. If storage is a concern, spend the whopping $100 and get FOUR TIMES AS MUCH. For "most" people (read: NOT you, I get it...) 16GB is plenty, and it is proven year after year by something most people don't seem to grasp: SALES.

If sales were slouching, sure, increase it. But why damage profit margins on the single biggest revenue generator the company has (the 16GB iPhone)?

Maybe if they were the Red Cross.

Last I checked they were in this for the stockholder, not to give away things they don't have to for no reason.

lol just watching the keynote and Phil Schiller going on about the pixels...2 million pixels on a phone!!!!

Umm 1080 screens have been available on phones for how long? Of course, it's the "best" display ever put on a phone sigh

Great... Yet another cable to have and I'm sure additional ones will be 20 more $.

Is the cable different than ones used for the 5 and 5S?

I didn't read anything being different from previous versions, but I haven't been following every update

many people don't even need more than 8 gb for their phones how they use them, so 16 is plenty for bottom level, so I don't see keeping it low and as cheap as possible as being a dick move.

Not sure I agree. 16gb is barely enough even for a very light user. You get maybe 12gb for storage, and that is very quickly eaten up by apps and photos, let alone music if you store any on the phone. And don't even think about storing a movie on that.

Comparing it to an ipad mini is ridiculous, it's closer in size to the 5s than the ipad mini.

Don't like saying it, but Steve would never have allowed the design on the 6. Looks like Jony on his own isn't as good without the master guiding him.

I can't believe people still were thinking there was going to be a sapphire display. That sapphire screen rumor made absolutely no sense, and it was just clearly for iWatch/home button/lens cover.

Actually there was a rumour on here not long ago saying there were production issues with the screens that were due to be used in the iPhone 6, causing apple to ditch the screens (which had thinner bezels) and as a result they had to ditch the sapphire screens too.

They will return for the 6S though.

Regarding the 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB, I feel that the 16GB is aimed at business-use and extreme basic user use... basically replacing their weird iPhone 5C experiment. Then for the rest of us, they likely see that 64GB and 128GB are the most useful sizes to have if you consider the size of apps, HDR and panorama pictures, and high fps video. You're already picking between the 6 and 6+, now choose either options that will ensure a good experience, 64GB or 128GB. No one but a basic user or someone who fully utilizes cloud services would want the 16GB.

I guess that's how I make sense of the sizing. Adding a fourth size just gives too many options and keeping a 16GB phone for business and basic users, I imagine, is necessary to keep costs low for those two groups without going the plastic phone route again.

I think I'll be upgrading my black iPhone 4S 64GB to the iPhone 6 128GB, color undecided.
