14.99 for family up to 6. I only have 2 in my family, but it's still the same as Spotify.
If it has Tool, ACDC and some other artists that are not on Spotify, I'm switching just for tighter integration. And there is a Windows client - back to iTunes, lol.
It has everything that iTunes has!

So with this working with Android does that mean that Android will be able to play our purchased music from iTunes as well?

I'm actually pretty excited to get rid of Spotify. It was pretty good for what it did, but now that the streaming portion is now standard for iTunes/Apple Music, there's no need for it on my phone. I still purchase music, so this is a nice mixture of being able to select what I want to store and download and what I just want to listen to on the fly.

It's painful to watch the demise of Apple. I mean I know they'll go on and may even have a renaissance one day, but they are definitely losing importance with all of these lackluster attempts they've been passing as developments since Steve Jobs died, and the continual degradation of the software, and now even hardware (Mac Mini), under Tim Cook.

They needed a maverick to replace Jobs.
You're funny . you probably thought you'd get people angry by saying this, but you just made me laugh!

Have a great week, and don't let things get to you so hard :)

Yes, please help me.
They happily announced the price but never told me what I get for it?
Pharell tweets?
Can I pick any song I want at any time?
Can I skip over stuff I don't like.
Is the entire iTunes library included?

Save your curated playlist for bullet points at the end and tell me what it really is.

Is iTunes Match going away?

$10 for Radio? I think Tidal just fell off their chairs laughing.

Seriously? Was I watching something different? $9.99 or $14.99 for a family of 6 and you can stream any song on iTunes. You can make playlists, skip, do as you want, looked very similar to Spotify. Only thing I didn't see is if you could download playlists to play offline.

Certainly not the same as radio and no restrictions on skipping etc.

So can we download songs to listen to on the subway like Spotify? Also they were listening to beats1 radio on what looked like a subway in that ad... does that mean you can download programs like a podcast or something?

Impressive that they're going to be supporting Android, doubt anyone expected that.

It's not really that surprising. A lot of current Beats subscribers are using Android phones. Apple didn't want to leave them behind and give other services like Spotify the opportunity to pick them up.

So... can you save music for offline use like in Spotify. I would consider it a fundamental feature for music streaming services, but they didn't really show it in the Keynote.

Here in New Zealand, we don't have uncapped mobile data plans so as you can imagine the ability to save for offline is incredibly important. I want Apple Music to fully replace Spotify.

Streaming on Cell Data Takes up too much data for this to work for us. When iTunes radio first came out, my family loved it. However, we were constantly going over our data allotment (10GB) per month and so I stopped it. The costs were outrageous, and I already give AT&T enough money each money to increase our data plan. So on top of our $14.99 a month, we are looking at major data overage charges. Just not going to work.

Jimmys presentation is a little bit messy and unclear, talking in metaphors and kinda pointless stories between him and his friends.

Agreed. Iovine looked completely unrehearsed. His delivery was confusing, sloppy and distracting. Cook must have been groaning backstage. The Apple Music segment was a mess overall. It was difficult trying to understand what the big deal was supposed to be. Apple Radio was a yawn. Connect, meh. And Apple Music offers little more than Spotify and all the rest. I give this a big fat D for Dull and Don't Care. I think Amazon Prime and Google Play offer much better value.

Just to clear the features. Exactly, would've been great if they would have showed this during the Keynote.

Can I play any song I like?
Can I make a "radio" from any song I like?
Can I pick any song to listen to?
Is the entire iTunes music server available to me?
Can I skip as many songs as I like?
Is there an download/offline feature?
What happens to iTunes Match? Still $25 a year on top of the $9.99 a month?
Why would I ditch Spotify?
Is there a student discount?

So many unanswered questions!

As a musician/ composer, I find the features amusing. It has potential to becoming a "game changer" to the music industry to say the least. Now if Apple let artists bypass record labels and publish on our own, which resembles the environment for app store, it will really be the biggest move Apple has done in many years. (judging by Eddy Cue featuring an unsigned artist's connect page, it could be a reality)

So, what happens to the current iTunes Radio? Is it going away?? It's free, now they want $10/month.

They haven't done a good job of explaining this, but their site does say that there are still free ad supported radio stations.

No mention of iTunes Match or iTunes Radio. No discussion about ways Apple is making it easy for people to switch from Spotify, Rdo, etc. Eddy kept using the word revolutionary but I'm still waiting for that part? A 24/7 radio station? I can pull up an app right now and listen to any BBC radio station live whenever I want. Why would I pay $10 for that?
