Seems like a good value, but appears to be only magazines.

Because most people are not investors and don't care about all this stuff at all?
Because everything you just said is a joke. People in finance read the WSJ to see what the public-version of events is, not for actual information.
Why would any professional put on a painter costume before announcing the launch of a new service for the most valuable company in the world??
I don’t get it. I read a lot of the fashion mags he was showing off. NONE of them have foretold a trend of Sherwin Williams painter’s coveralls suddenly becoming board room/public presentation attire.
Lol, off-topic I know... but it was jarring enough that I didn’t hear anything he said.
I’m kinda hoping they stay with the theme- I want to see a plumber & a roofer, in full gear, announce details of the television service!
I’m going to resubscribe to Readly my 3 month offer ended at the end of February and held off subscribing to wait and see what Apple had up their sleeves. I wouldn’t have minded giving Apple’s subscription a go but it’s not available in the UK.As some others have already said, Readly is by far the better value. Apple late to the game and missed the boat again, unfortunately.
The local Barnes & Noble has a similar service for no charge. People can just go in there and have access to hundreds of magazines and periodicals.![]()

I just subscribed, but i only see magazines, where is la times, Wall Street journal and Toronto sun?
Hate to say it, but this is probably DOA.
That's because nothing in Europe is news worthy!nearly 4 years after introduction , apple news still isnt available in europe lol
I don't remember the last time I was at B&N but I have my iPad with me everyday. The local Barnes & Noble has a similar service for no charge. People can just go in there and have access to hundreds of magazines and periodicals.![]()
Yes, I have a feeling that the young Apple crowd is not that thrilled. They seem to be targeting an audience outside their optimal demographic.
True. But are those the young folk, their best demographic? Those people are on Instagram, Snapchat, FB, etc. They aren't reading through legions of magazines. This is like aapl re-adopting DVD drivesDefinitely targeted at those who like to read.![]()
I was looking for a hook to get me and didn't find it.
I thought it would have to be under $5 to get me to even look at it.
Boy did they miss that mark.
$10/month for listening to a choice of a million songs vs $10/month for a couple of magazines I may look at for a few pages?
No one raised their hand when this price was discussed?
Also, can you say when you start the trial or does it start when you update to new app?
Toronto Star. Trust me, you don't want the Sun. Actually it would be better to have the Globe & Mail which is like the WSJ.
