Maybe so. According to TUAW, an mac clone maker named Shaye started out with the cat names and apple liked it. Cheetah, Puma, Jaguar, Panther, Tiger, Leopard, Lion and Lynx.

it has to be either the clouded leopard or the lion cause they all share the same ancestry...maybe clouded leopard will be an entire web osx in the "cloud"

or maybe they will just throw something out off topic with the whole animal act and perfect something.

I can barely wait! I pre-ordered it online on the Apple Store; it says "Delivers by Aug 28th". Does this mean I will get it in the mail Aug 28th?

Does anyone know anything about how the "retail disc" is different from the up-to-date discs?

Also, any news on how the final build is different from the last developers' preview builds?

MAC OS 10.7 LYNX

That would rock :) My favourite ice-hockey team Ilves (www.ilves.com) means Lynx in finnish.

Cancelled my order with Amazon and since I'd have to pay tax with Apple.com I'm just going to go into the local Apple Store and buy it on Friday and that way I won't have to sit by the door since Apple sends everything signature required.

Hope everyone ordering from Apple knows that, someone needs to sign for the package.

No signature required if you presign and tape the authorization paper to the door. I've done that with my iPod touch, etc.

insert install DVD, follow instructions

I remember reading that Archive & Install was the default installation.

This is okay I guess but I really hated that "Previous System" folder hanging around on my HDD when I moved from Tiger to Leopard on my previous Mac.

Just put my order in, I guess for the UK it'll be shipped Friday so arrive mid next week.

Looks pro though, looking forward too it.

Just called my Apple Store and they said that Snow Leopard will be available at the opening of the store on Friday...can't wait!

do we have to sign

Im having snow shipped to my apartment. I probably wont be there when it arrives. If its to big for my mail box it will go to the local post office which is about a 30 second walk from my house so I dont care. However if I have to sign something or it gets sent back to apple that would be bad. anyone know if that will happen?
