thats great point, im waiting for change since 14 pro times, they are adding new ultrawide on 16 Pro, new zoom on 17 Pro, but main cam photos are like the same, i was using 14 pro back then, it was amazing upgrade
i expect they are saving improvements for 18 or 20 series in 2027
I love my Stainless Steel 13 Pro Max and yeah....this new design looks cheap to me. I clearly have to see it in person.
If I upgrade, it won't be pre-order...I've waited 4 years, I can wait until mid October or Nov...(whenever) when its in stores.
*And orange would not be my choice.

My favorite color is definitely none of them.

The EU forced Apple to implement third party stores etc. *You* are paying for that.
Yikes, having a better look at that orange color, the leaks were spot on. It's the garish color-way of every ugly new pair of Nike's sent to reviewers. Great if you love orange, happy for your excitement, but not so great if you don't like this color given the odd limitation in color choices this year.

I welcome the bold colours on the Pro. Why should I only have a muted colour palette to select from just because it’s a Pro? Why shouldn’t I be able to have a bold colour like the mid-tier phones? I get fed up choosing from plain colour Pro’s. At home and out and about, I go caseless. If I’m at work or something more formal, I slap a case on. And in this instance, it’ll be the black tech woven case as it’ll be a nice contrast against the orange camera ‘island’.
I think people get scared of colour. Painted my fireplace surround bright pink this year. My wife was dead against it. Now her favourite part of the lounge.

love the orange. might switch to iphone if basic functionality and dictation is better.
Pretty annoying that many places don't have an eSIM option, so you're paying the same price for a smaller battery. Furthermore, it doesn't seem like all iPhones in the lineup get the new modem chip, though likely the N1 chip. Apple did not cover this at all during the event.
But the hideous camera bump won't be hidden by a case. You think I want a vibrant orange camera bump sticking out from my black case? NO!
There is always that one, or some, then they’re sporting the latest and greatest because that will win out over a color that is likely covered by a case.
That sounds rather nice to me. Though orange is my favorite color.
Will be ordering the 17 Pro Max in Blue Friday. I am in the minority here on Macrumors but I thought this was a decent showing by Apple with the 17 line up. I have a Apple Watch Ultra 1 and I plan to downgrade in get the series 11 in November or December for my Birthday/ Christmas as well for the new blood pressure feature.

Puh-leez...you can have whatever flamboyant colors you want, but at the same time, wouldn't you say black is the most common color people order? To take it away is will just keep people from buying it. Not a smart move from Apple.
And, I'm happy you painted your fireplace pink if it makes you happy. Personally, I'd set my house on fire, on purpose, if I had to look at a pink fireplace.
None of these colors fit my lifestyle. I had to replace my phone as the current one has camera issues, but I may look for some other brands this time. What the…

yeah it feels pretty scummy. As soon as I saw the prices I was immediately disappointed. They didn't change prices in the USA and they didn't change in Europe even though USD is a lot weaker compared to last year.
You can still get 16 Pro's on great deals through carriers, I'm sure. I don't blame you...these colors are not great choices for their flagship phone.
