While I absolutely love my new iPhone, the man's got a point here. If this was the launch of a much hyped Android phone and it was revealed to be having issues with the screen or dropped calls, the people on this board would be laughing until they wet themselves.
AT&T has a home cell transmitter that connects over the internet you can have for home reception. Handles 4 devices simultaneously.
He contributes greatly to PRSI, clearly he lives for nothing other than a smartphone.
Haven't ever seen you around though...
We don't have an accurate number of problematic handsets though - all we have is the vocal minority. Nobody is even close to suggesting that every iPhone sale or even a huge majority are defective. You cannot just look at a situation by looking at all of the people who are having problems. You might as well take a look at a busy hospital and be concerned about a pandemic only to find out that only a small number of the total population is actually there.I thought the new iPhone looked like the bee's knees, but this sales of 1.7 million coupled with the possibility of all of them having a hardware issue looks more like a huge nerve-wracking perfect storm of liability rather than success. The company that can do no wrong has to do wrong eventually.
The 60 people who clicked "Negative" = people who are mad that they couldn't preorder or get their phone on launch day.![]()
So a phone that drops calls when you touch it is a success?![]()

having reception/camera/proximity sensor and other issues.
Oh right - it's a non-issue![]()
And they trash Android and sing the praises of the iPhone. By their standards, their life must be just as sad as mine![]()
...step backward and I refuse to accept Apples terms or recommended solution of paying Apple $30 more for their branded bumper so to make a call. This is absolutely ridiculous and untenable position for Apple as Jobs whole CREDIBITITY at the line.
Or people who want one, but can't afford one, and decide to come on here and bitch.
Trust me, it's a common trait of Apple haters on another forum I use. It reeks from some people.
I was an early adopter of the original iPhone and the 3G when it was released and never had reception issues in my area (Montgomery, AL) but when I moved to VA I couldn't hold a phone call or get data access - all inside a "coverage area" that AT&T claims with their supposed coverage map (23601). Did AT&T customer service care that I couldn't get reception in an area they claimed was covered? No. So, after having my account with AT&T/Cingular/AT&T Wireless for almost 7 years I cancelled my contract and went with Verizon. Until I either move or Verizon gets the iPhone I'll be using something else, unsatisfied. Who knows, maybe I'll take the iPhone 4 for a spin and return it if I still don't get service with the "new" antenna.I want to buy the iPhone, but I'm not going to if I have to go with AT&T's network. Just to many drop calls and issues there. Especially with AT&T doing a 360 on plans. Why is Apple so adamant about staying with AT&T with the horrible service AT&T's network is providing.
Quote, MacRumors about Android malware.
The removed apps were said to be a theoretical demonstration of how to create a "botnet" of hijacked phones.
By cloaking an application capable of "fetching" new exploit code at will in a fake application offering preview pictures of the upcoming "Twilight Eclipse" film, he tricked more than 300 users into downloading the software. The lesson: a less friendly developer could have used that bait and switch to plant malware on users' devices.
Way faster than the retarded iPad.
Android is a great platform. Does a lot of cool things, I'm sure its customers are very happy with their phones.
However, what's the point of these android fans posting in this thread about iPhone issues other than to be *******s? Says more about their insecurities than it does about the iPhone.
Patience.Well done Apple! Now release it in Italy please![]()
