Typical Apple fans bitching they go beyond what people were asking for and they bitch, best processor, kept the screen. And added pencil support, now if they had put a A10 in it, put a non laminated screen, and lowered the price to $249 people would still bitch

I don’t really think it’s expensive given the added functionality and improvements and how the rest of the iPad lineup looks now. I think the price raise is justified in this case.

And the fact of they added Apple Pencil support, that’s huge, and that’s been a long discussed feature that consumers were wanting to see that implemented for the smaller iPad and not just for the larger size iPads.

Overpriced for that same design... they could’ve dropped it at least $50
And now the iPad lineup is even more confusing. What is happening with this, almost every product lineup is honestly a mess
Disappointed there’s no updated AirPods as I’ve wanted to pickup a pair, but since the rumours have been around that we’d get an updated version soon I’ve held off

But why the Apple Pencil 1? Having 2 different pencils that only work with certain iPads is bound to cause confusion.

Apple should be phasing all iPads to the new Pencil 2, not introducing brand new iPads that work exclusively with the older pencil.
This shows that Apple executives see the company as a commodity seller - making a penny here, a penny there with old stuff repackaged.

Disappointed. Old ass design language that doesn't match the new iPads. Do they just not care anymore? Thick bezels, an off-center home button (thanks Obama @19SK91 ) that cannot be unseen. Couple that low base storage and a high price tag for what's on offer... Apple could have done much better. It's basically an internal upgrade that could have been done a while ago. They didn't even try hard.

A12 Bionic, 4x the base storage, much better display quality, Apple Pencil support...but people are complaining that the price is the same as 2015? That's bad even for MacRumors.
The base storage on the mini was actually 128GB before it was updated. And it was the only option which was rather odd

What Apple has done I’m happy with, gave the general non pro needing iPad owners a choice that goes beyond low end. Not forced to go pro if you just want an up to date processor and screen, with the prices back to what they were
I know that I'm in the minority, but I think these new models are great. They offer great value (not at MSRP, but at the usually discounted sale prices). They omit the gimmicks IMO (ProMotion, no-headphone jack, bezel-less), and are capable of doing what iOS is capable of.

The negative rhetoric on Macrumors isn’t indicative of everyone else’s opinion outside this forum. It’s great that Apple revived The mini, and they added Apple Pencil Support to the mini. This is exactly what consumers were wanting, a smaller iPad for those who weren’t interested in the larger more expensive iPad Pros. Props to Apple for listening and responding.

Mini 4 was overpriced, I don't say I expected the new model to be cheaper, but it is still quite expensive.
I'm glad they updated the mini, and eventually I may buy one, but current model is too pricey and mini 4's CPU is too old, so I think I'll wait some good deals on the mini 5 in the future
