Perhaps NOT since Apple also announced that Mac OS Ventura would ship next Monday (Oct .24) and it would be odd for them to do a separate OS release just a week before new hardware. Would they do the Ventura release on Monday and then introduce the new Mac mini on Tuesday? Seems unlikely.
My guess is that they are having supply problems with the M2 chips and had to delay the new Macs to favor the iOS devices.
agree. I bought an m1 12.9 a week ago on sale and it's a beast to carry around and use. Probably going to return it.

My anthropomorphic 2020 Pro 11 just kicked up its feet on its magnetic (nothing “magic” about magnets) keyboard, poured itself a virtual margarita, and let out a self-satisfied sigh, secure in the realisation it wasn’t being replaced anytime soon.
Hahaha that's so mild. It's plain stupid to not have the camera like the new regular iPad. But maybe they had to then redesign the internals which would have made it more expensive like the iPad 10th gen being more expense then the iPad 9th gen.

They also sell millions more iPhones than iPads and the inventory probably wasn't ready for an iPhone 14 launch.

Nothing says Pro more than the complete lack of direct eye contact on FaceTime as you pretend to listen to the other person whilst actually multitasking on something else more important because, well, you’re a Pro remember.

Let’s see now. I have the 2020 11 inch iPad Pro, series 7 Apple Watch, iPhone 12Pro and now the Xbox series X for my gaming needs. That’s a win-win for me. Apple has not given me a reason to upgrade for at least another year. I just saved myself a fair amount of money. Thank you Apple and Mr. Tim. 👍
They have it down to a fine art, having distilled said urine, then reduced it, left it to age in oak casks for several years, topped up with tap water before being sold to the masses as a special reserve “recycled electrolytes” in fancy bottles.
I carry a MacBook Pro 13" and an iPad Pro 11" everywhere I go.
A good way to develop muscle and have enough computer power at hand.
Not surprised by this update - the avg lifespan for iPads before upgrading is 4 years. If you're coming from a 2018(like me) or earlier Pro, this will be a tangible upgrade. 2020-2021 Pro users are most likely fine keeping their current hardware until the next refresh.
