thats a different press even day, probably next week or the week after that
Perhaps NOT since Apple also announced that Mac OS Ventura would ship next Monday (Oct .24) and it would be odd for them to do a separate OS release just a week before new hardware. Would they do the Ventura release on Monday and then introduce the new Mac mini on Tuesday? Seems unlikely.

My guess is that they are having supply problems with the M2 chips and had to delay the new Macs to favor the iOS devices.

Wait, so they gave the base ipad a facetime camera in landscape mode but left it on the side for the pro? Guess I'll keep my 11" M1 till they actually make some significant changes.

Why this iPad Pro is not getting the landscape camera but the base iPad is? This is a missed opportunity
Hahaha that's so mild. It's plain stupid to not have the camera like the new regular iPad. But maybe they had to then redesign the internals which would have made it more expensive like the iPad 10th gen being more expense then the iPad 9th gen.

Totally underwhelmed by the new iPad Pro.

Anyway, my new 11 inch w/ Magic keyboard will be ready for pickup on the 28th (traveling so can't get it earlier)

Nothing says Pro more than the complete lack of direct eye contact on FaceTime as you pretend to listen to the other person whilst actually multitasking on something else more important because, well, you’re a Pro remember.

Seems like new lipstick on the same pig. Still no AV1 or VP9 hardware decode. M2 is probably same 5nm and not 3nm. No OLED display. And, WIFI6E isn't needed on iPad.

Let’s see now. I have the 2020 11 inch iPad Pro, series 7 Apple Watch, iPhone 12Pro and now the Xbox series X for my gaming needs. That’s a win-win for me. Apple has not given me a reason to upgrade for at least another year. I just saved myself a fair amount of money. Thank you Apple and Mr. Tim. 👍

Eur 599. They are taking the p*ss now.
They have it down to a fine art, having distilled said urine, then reduced it, left it to age in oak casks for several years, topped up with tap water before being sold to the masses as a special reserve “recycled electrolytes” in fancy bottles.

Not surprised by this update - the avg lifespan for iPads before upgrading is 4 years. If you're coming from a 2018(like me) or earlier Pro, this will be a tangible upgrade. 2020-2021 Pro users are most likely fine keeping their current hardware until the next refresh.

Not including the XDR display on the M2 11" is a baffling omission.
