If the retained IP67 water rating is anything to go by, it's the newer solid state button.

Rumors were the Plus model is delayed coming later... I wonder if that's still true.

I don't think it makes sense for them to do another SE release later. I would think this is all there is until the 12 series comes in (hopefully) fall.

Why does it say the battery life "lasts about the same as iPhone 8"? Shouldn't the A13 chip and the lack of 3D Touch improve the battery life?

3D touch is probably still there. Just deactivated. Easier/cheaper to just keep the same production line running.

True to original iPhone SE in every way. Small chassis (though not 4"), current generation processor, and a low price tag. Definitely a great buy!

Why did they call it the same name as a previous different product ?

They already do that for most of their other products: iPad, Mac Mini, Macbook, Apple Watch etc. They only seem to differentiate naming for products that are available to buy at the same time.

iPhone SE compares poorly with competition in all regards but the processor. For example Samsung A51 has 6.5" super AMOLED screen, modern set of cameras (triple camera plus depth camera), under the screen fingerprint sensor and up to 8GB of RAM. It costs $350.

Agreed, Android is not as bad as the early days and Apple will be in jeopardy for not being able to offer the same amount of value at $399

They said it is "Best Single-Camera System", keyword being system. It is not best individual camera but it is the best of all the 1 lens iPhone (i.e is better than the XR but worse than 11).

Oh, good catch. That's sneaky phrasing by them. Still, I think I'll take a camera that's not quite as good as the 11 Pro (and about the same, perhaps, as my XS?) in exchange for a smaller physical size/weight and TouchID.

As someone who played with a 4" iPhone SE recently and noticed how incredibly claustrophobic the display is and how hard it is to use most apps with so little information on the screen... How are so many people upset at the lack of a 4" screen?

Most apps aren't even built for even a 4.7" screen anymore!

No one cares about this except for people on places like macrumors. $399 for a smaller iphone with the latest processor and a good camera is a steal. They will sell tons of these.

No headphone jack. This is an iPhone 8 body, which the iPhone 8 did not have a headphone jack.

It also includes Lightning Earpods.

I quite like the white SE2 so far as initial impressions its the only one that doesn't look like an iPhone 8 100%, barring the centered Apple logo and omission of 'iPhone' text
