I'm kinda digging the storm trooper look.
Its the only way to go. I love silver cases but have avoided ALL of them until they started coming with black faces (from the iPhone X). The white borders look incredible silly and incongruent when the phone is off, and even when the phone is on.
Looks good to me. If I upgrade from my 6S, it will be to this.
I like that I can get a White phone with a black front, just like my 3G. It is the end of an era in a way, you cannot buy an iPhone new with a white front anymore. April of 2011-April of 2020, I believe.

This is not exactly the follow-up SE in original form factor and Phil Schiller should be on its way out of Apple for good.

Headphone jack? I am guessing no since they purposely are not showing the top of the phone in any photos I can find.
There's been a massive price rise in a lot of technology components in recent years sadly.
I’d bet not, if there was a will, there would be a way to fit that newer single lens.
I’d bet they’re purposefully withholding latest camera features to differentiate between models even more. As if that 6-year old design isn’t enough of a differentiator already...
Well, they certainly have the right to make that sort of decision. As well as I have the right to vote with my wallet.
the XR and the 11 both have true white backs and black fronts as well
I figured I was the only one. Though I do like my 11 Pro, the new SE is intriguing, especially for the price.
Why does it say the battery life "lasts about the same as iPhone 8"? Shouldn't the A13 chip and the lack of 3D Touch improve the battery life?
Very happy to see this pricing.
I hope this indicates a downward shift in their iPhone product line pricing. I have many friends and family who’ve been priced out of iPhones and/or don’t see a value proposition compared to much cheaper Android phones. While I don’t agree, I can’t fault them. Hopefully this will be enough to coax people back into iPhone.

Does this have a static home bottom like the iPhone 8 or a real home button like the original SE?
This is an important device. Apple needs to have a wide price range because a ton of people have no desire to shell out big bucks for their iPhone.
I am surprised that the Plus sized model didn't drop even though it's leaking in iOS 14 code. I suspect we will see it at WWDC or the fall keynote.

They should've just called this the iphone 9 and if they wanted the SE to have the size of the iphone 8, just keep the original SE form factor & increase the overall size, nix the home button & make it full screen but 4.7" overall size. Maybe call this the SE+ but keep the SE original size w/o home button & full screen. So 2 SE would have 2 options but with original SE design that is rumored to be the iphone 12. If the iphone 12 is going to the SE design I'll just wait until that one comes out. Love the SE with full screen concept, looks stunning.

At least the iPhone 8 chassis was kind of expected by the majority of users, for months.
SE= soon ending
They managed to get rid of all the 5 chassis it seems.
No headphone jack and too big....the phablet boys get yet another choice while those of us who wanted the original SE form factor...get nothing.
