Makes no sense at all. It's an iPhone 9.
Exactly, it's more like the iPhone 8s and absolutely not planning to buy it.

Good timing with the stimulus checks arriving this week. People can order one and still have money left for food.
Does that include VAT? The US price is without (local) tax.
Yes, awesome isn't it!The white has a black front? Really, Apple?
That's what I thought. Completely inexplicable and very disappointing. Why does it say the battery life "lasts about the same as iPhone 8"? Shouldn't the A13 chip and the lack of 3D Touch improve the battery life?
Intel has not released any updated CPUs as of yet.
So basically a 3 year old phone (iPhone 8) with an up to date processor.
Not terrible...but the target audience could also just buy a refurbished 8 for around $250.
I'm an SE owner, and I'm happy about this phone and intend to purchase it.

As does the red phone with black bezels.
Geeze-,nothing like muddling the waters. This new iPhone is the iPhone 9 in every way. It has nothing to do with the "SE" name it hijacked.
Gotta wonder what's going on in the minds of the chaps in the marketing dept.
Where could you find a refurbished iPhone 8 for $250? (I mean sure, eBay prices will drop now, because the new phone is improved, and it is not two year old used). So basically a 3 year old phone (iPhone 8) with an up to date processor.

iPhone XR outsold every other smartphone at $750 last year. The new SE will sell well.No one cares about this except for people on places like macrumors. $399 for a smaller iphone with the latest processor and a good camera is a steal. They will sell tons of these.
That's not how VAT math works. In order to get 419 with 20% VAT you must have a non VAT price of 349, not 319.20.US prices are without tax
64 GB $399 £419
64 GB price without 20% VAT: 419*0.8 = £319.20
Current exchange rate 319.20 GBP = 399.79 USD ... gouged for 79c! I can live with that![]()
I don't think it's the 4" screen that people like, but the smaller chassis that is easier to hold. If they were able to increase the size of the screen in something close to the same body size (significantly smaller than the new SE) that would be awesome! But that wouldn't be an SE, that would be part of a new flagship line, I assume. As someone who played with a 4" iPhone SE recently and noticed how incredibly claustrophobic the display is and how hard it is to use most apps with so little information on the screen... How are so many people upset at the lack of a 4" screen?
Most apps aren't even built for even a 4.7" screen anymore!
And pay 20% import tax.It starts at 479 Euro. What the actual F.
you might as well fly to the US (when we can) and buy it there lol
