Just absolutely spitting on the grave of the iPhone SE. What a bummer.
Calm the hyperbole. It’s just a name for an entry level phone.
Just absolutely spitting on the grave of the iPhone SE. What a bummer.
As someone who played with a 4" iPhone SE recently and noticed how incredibly claustrophobic the display is and how hard it is to use most apps with so little information on the screen... How are so many people upset at the lack of a 4" screen?
Most apps aren't even built for even a 4.7" screen anymore!
No one cares about this except for people on places like macrumors. $399 for a smaller iphone with the latest processor and a good camera is a steal. They will sell tons of these.
Does this take portraits of stuff other than people?
Don't UK prices include VAT? US prices don't include state sales tax.
That's why they are a significant amount of people won't be buying.
This isn't an SE. This is a marketing gimmick to dilute the true square edged 4" proper SE.
Same battery life as the 8, which has the same battery life as the 7. 👎This is a really good value. Seems like the same camera lens as the 11/11 Pros and same chip. It provides TouchID and smaller screen size for those that want it. With the efficiency improvements of the A13 chip, I’m assuming the removal of 3D Touch, and the small screen size, I’m really interested in seeing what the battery life and speed is like.
Android is by far the most popular mobile OS but obviously people have different preferences. My point is that Apple charges way more for similar (or inferior) product than the competition. And you would:
1. Have to use Android
2. Stop getting software updates after a year or two
My apps work fine too...buuuuuuuuuut they sometimes do look like they expected a larger size: lots of controls and widgets that require just a little bit of scrolling.I have an SE and every app I use seems to work fine with my screen size, then again I don’t play games and whatnot.
No doubt, Apple can consider updating the original SE form factor instead of rehashing the iPhone 6 for 5 freaking times. Absolutely A NO BUY in 2020 without OLED!
Oh you mean the iPhone 5 that was rehashed back then. It’s just a made up name.
That's subjective. You do know that people prefer Android by a huge margin, right? Obviously phone prices go into decision making but the point being that there is no way to show that iOS is an advantage.Except this phone runs iOS which is the biggest advantage.
In Apple's Newsroom article, it mention's iPhone SE, then jumps right into iOS 13 talk about night mode in the sentence right after. This leads me to believe it would have the 11 camera.Yes.
No, it runs regular Android which is a preferred mobile OS by most people (by a huge margin).Samsung A51 runs garbage android

Almost. It doesn't have the same camera lens as the 11's, it has the XR lens (so no Night Mode). They've announced that the battery life is similar to the 8, for better or worse. Still I agree, a great value and I will be ordering on on Friday! This is a really good value. Seems like the same camera lens as the 11/11 Pros and same chip, plus WiFi 6 and gigabyte cellular data. Thought for sure it would come with an A11 or A12. This should quiet the 'I don't like FaceID' crowd a bit...Solid phone at a solid price honestly.
it's a combination of several models: the body of an 8, the camera of a Xr, and the processor of an 11.Price is decent... you get a stripped down iPhone 11 for half the price.
Well for one, that the iPad Pro has an A12z, which isn't at all the same as an A12.A13 in a 2020 $399 phone, but A12 in a 2020 $799 iPad Pro. What am I missing?
