New color is great, no longer RAM-anemic base model, M4, and starting at $999? Somebody pinch me… This is the definition of a good deal for what you get.

All products in 2025 are kinda disappointing…It does seem like they're celebrating "Spec Bump Week!" in Cupertino with this round of product releases.
They’ve never done the actual conversion rate of the Euro. Unless it benefits them when the Euro falls. 1 USD = 1 EUR for them, so they’re adding VAT to the 999, not to the actual EUR price which would be ~930. You get exactly €1199.But not 34% of VAT.
How many times I heard the word: Apple Intelligence ☹️ 😅The base model M3's had 16GB RAM
(was adjusted last year once they were suddenly "built for Apple Intelligence")
UK / Euro purchasers get stronger purchase protection with longer warranties mandated by law. This increases the price for UK / Euro customers. But not 34% of VAT.
Maybe the fall releases will change that...and maybe not.All products in 2025 are kinda disappointing…

There is more advantages… better screen, a fan, better speakers and more… I will make a post !
It’s actually 100$ less than the M3Hahaha a lot of people were expecting this with also a better battery, an extra thunderbolt port or even a brighter screen but no…
They also removed both M2 and M3 MacBook Air so you are forced to buy M4 for more money hehehe
Hmm. The cheapest option starts at $100 less which is nice but it's also getting less GPU cores compared to the base M4 Mini and M4 MBP. 8 GPU cores compared to 10 GPU cores in the Mini/MBP. Not sure how big of a difference it will be but worth noting.

Old Air with 16Gig Ram and 500 Gig SSD is 1529,00 Euros is Germany. 1449,00 Euros for the new one, so it is cheaper. It's even cheaper than what I payed for my M1 back then! And the US price is without taxes, in Europe taxes are included in the listed price. But they didn’t get the price drop at all, is what I said. It’s exactly the same price as the M3 was.

That’s for USA only bro… in Canada it’s 50$ less expensive so around 35 USD less expensive bro… I guess Europe has the same problemIt’s actually 100$ less than the M3
If you pick a 512gb model it won’t be less expensive than the M3… if you pick a 1tb model it will be 50 cad more expensive…...they increased their Canadian ssd prices.
From 250 to 300 per 256 GB.
Lol.
Edit: actually not quite? Going from 256 to 512 is indeed more expensive by 50. But then going to 1 tb is, I think, less expensive by 200? If I'm remembering right.
For Apple devices not really but for many other tech yes. I’ve never had one fail or show a defect after some time passes, usually it’s stuff you see right out of the box like something being weird cosmetically or something not working from factoryUltimately ends up being a better value for a lot of folks I'd bet though
No fan in MBA that’s why.Hmm. The cheapest option starts at $100 less which is nice but it's also getting less GPU cores compared to the base M4 Mini and M4 MBP. 8 GPU cores compared to 10 GPU cores in the Mini/MBP. Not sure how big of a difference it will be but worth noting.
