Mac rumors have been confusing in recent months, but there are several possibilities. We could see a refreshed version of the 24-inch iMac, as that machine is still using an M1 Apple silicon chip. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has said not to expect a MacBook Air refresh, but the 13-inch MacBook Pro, 14-inch MacBook Pro, and 16-inch MacBook Pro could potentially get new chips.
Seems Apple would diffidently target the M3 for all the original M1 base SoC Macs. Such as the Mac Mini, iMac, 13” MBP. The 13/15“ MBA models would be interesting as the 15” just arrived during WWDC 2023. Of course Apple could just concentrate on the iMac as it’s the last M1 hold out due to a production quantities of the M3. If the M3 Pro arrived that would be shocking as compared to previous availability norms. There could be some M3 iPads also.

Just nice for the event announcement in spite of the no more 2023 Mac announcements rumors recently.

Thanks for the screenshot, it refused to morph for me, or it took several minutes and my ADHD makes staring at a logo for that long impossible idk.

Also, the monochrome negative space Finder face gives off serial killer vibes, I’m excited.

But it would have to have a M2 Ultra for it to be 'scary fast'.

Ahhh but we've seen this movie before: scary fast compared to m1 iMac... or even more likely, scary fast compared to those 2018-2020 Intel iMacs.

Or maybe the rumored iMac Pro "bigger" launches and it is scary fast against the specs of that- what- 6+ years old iMac Pro?

We'll all be treated... or tricked... soon enough. Fingers crossed for some genuine Mac WOW!

I would definitely my upgrade '17 MBP13 if the MBP14's are upgraded. No rush for me personally but it's about that time.

In the UK at least, its always 6pm.
Ive watched every announcement for the last 20 years live, around 6pm.

However... this is the first one I'll miss because for some reason it's 1am UK time. s@d that.... I'll watch next day on catchup.

I hope this isnt the case going forward. cant imagine why this one is at a different time especially as its a pre-record as usual nowadays.

If the event is being called "Scary fast," what else would it be other than an M3 chip? The M2's been out for over 1 year and we already have an M2 Pro, M2 Max, and M2 Ultra.
True because in 2021, when Apple released MacBook Pro with M1 Pro & M1 Max, they used the exact same phrase called "scary fast and scary faster" in the website. But they're using it again for this event! That makes me pretty damn sure we'll definitely get M3 Pro and M3 Max.

Soooooo, if this is an event is there a chance for iPad refreshes as well ??? I know that Gurman is usually spot on, but I hope that this time it will be an exception !

Anything is possible?

But, if they knew that they were going to have an iPad announcement this soon, why the Pencil update just a week earlier? Why wouldn't they have had the Pencil update with the iPad update?

As much as the iPad line-up could desperately use some clean-up, back to basics, simplifying ... (the iPad line-up reminds me of the Performa, LC, Quadra mess Jobs found when he returned where no one could tell him why anyone would pick one over the other?) I don't expect we'll see any more iPad news in 23?

But, anything is possible.
