Ok, so Safari is still pretty much useless. I simply don't get it at all. Is it really that hard to make Safari remember zoom options for websites? I mean really?

Everything is so tiny, what are their engineers thinking? Are they thinking at all???

Haven't had time to go through all comments, any devs notice a significant increase in performance in the beta?

I gave up on Safari years ago, it just doesn't cut it I'm afraid, same with Apple Mail. I use 3rd party email clients who appear to know just what the user wants. I always use Chrome and FF.

Did they ****** fix preview? It was trash in yosemite

im surprised you're still using safari...

System requirements?
Same systems that can run Yosemite.
- iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
- MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
- Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
- MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
- Xserve (Early 2009)

Will be nice if this version actually offers a reliable wireless connection unlike Yosemite. Hope it does as Apple don't seem to bother fixing issues like this for a very long time.

Damn my registration for the dev account just ended, would be nice to test "the Capitan" ;) Really don't need a full developer account... iOS 9 on the other hand is running fine with the UDID registration:cool:

Why can't you keep one OS for longer than a year anymore!? Yosemite was just released, there's no need for another new OS with a new horrible name just because you want to add a few features – update Yosemite instead!

Didn't they say NO MORE SKEUOMORPHISM not long ago?

Welcome back, I missed you!

So after 31 years of Macintosh operating systems - you STILL can't copy more than one thing to the clipboard without a third party app!! I'm amazed that they haven't added this one in yet, I guess they might add it into the 40th anniversary version...

I'm willing to bet Spotlight is still a piece of CRAP.

Can it search a network yet?
Can you refine search yet?
Can we use specialized search functions?

I remember when Steve first launched spotlight, it was like a WOW moment. you mean if I type in the name of a town, it'll even look into a pdf and find it on a map? That realization never came true to me. it's always been a Heap of crap. I'm faster at finding something i don't know what i am looking for that spotlight is.

I have yet to find anyone that uses it let alone likes it.

I haven't used a PC for Years but i know the search on them not only work, but you can copy and send the link to a colleague on the same network where they can simply click the link and take them to the folder or file.

Best i've been able to find is a 3rd party app call copy path... but it's not a link.

One Day apple will figure it out.

You guys clearly miss the point. El Capitan is related to Yosemite, just like how Snow Leopard was related to Leopard; or Lion to Mountain Lion. This is clearly meant to point to the fact that 10.11 is a refinement of experience and performance of Yosemite. We will get a totally new name/location for 10.12 since it will be the next major feature update.

I get the loose reference. I'm sure there are many other names within Yosemite to choose from.

I use spotlight daily on both Mac and iOS and love it. I have had zero problems with it.

I see a lot of posts in these forums about WiFi issues on the Mac (and iOS) and lots of moaning about Apple not bothering to fix them with every new release.

You would have thought that "if" Apple knows that they have a problem with WiFi that is reproducible on a lot of systems, then they would want to sort it out.

I used to get these WiFi issues as well and because I could see other people had them too, I thought, well it must be the software. However, I recently changed my WiFi router (upgraded it to a dual band Billion one) and all my WiFi issues went away!

Now before I get loads of replies from people saying they've changed their router and its still borked... ...I know this may not work for everyone and "perhaps" there is really something wrong with the way Apple is doing WiFi but seriously, I've had not one drop out since the router change... just saying. :)
