I've been using FireFox lately and I'm loving it. I can't go back to Safari, quite a bit of compatibility and load issues with certain sites.

I am very impressed with the speed coming out of Safari 4 Beta. I been using webkit for the last couple of months and Safari 4 is very nicely polished and is now my main browser. Did I tell you its snappy as hell too?

You can still use WebKit. It just uses whatever version of Safari you have installed as its shell.

And man, Safari 4 renders pages FAST!!!!! Wow!

Has the memory management got any better? I'm sick of the "cache-everything-in-ram" thing. I'm not buying more memory to browse websites.

So far I'm loving it. It will take some time to getting used to all the new features and changes but so far so good.

Thanks Apple.

Try it guys... and in a few hours I will post another HUGE secret command - something that hasn't been done in any browser

Strange browsing habits. Far be for me to preach but...

A couple of things I need to get used to (location of tabs and refreshed button) but so far its addressed all of my complaints about Safari and is super fast.

Customizing Top Sites

Not sure if someone's posted this, but you can add a site to Top Sites. First click Edit in the Top Sites window. Then, in another window, open the site you want to add. Drag its icon from the address bar, into the Top Sites window. It will be added, and pinned so it stays there.

There's a bug where the Remove (X) button doesn't appear for the new site. But if you close the Top Sites window and open it again, it will appear.

One thing I haven't been able to figure out: some of my Top Sites appear with the top-right corner folded down, to reveal a little white star on a blue background. Clicking the star doesn't do anything special. Any idea what these are for?

Means there is an update, I believe.

Otherwise I have no idea!

Ha, might want to check what sites you have open in your tabs before you post pics

Like the improvements very much, but a colleague noted that Microsoft Hotmail doesn't seem to work in this version. The inbox opens, but it's impossible to open any e-mails. Weird

I, too, have noticed this. It is quite frustrating.

Overall, I am very disappointed with this beta. I realize it's not a finished product so i'll withhold further judgement, but I did not notice a major speed difference than this and 3.2.1. This may be due to just having an incredibly fast internet speed at my college. It did not nothing to alleviate wait times for Last.fm (sluggish site) or my Drexel Email. With the flaws and changes I just decided to revert back. We'll see what the final version brings.

Still no exchange support for my university email here! That's one of the only reasons I am currently having to stick to using Firefox.

Thats on your university IT staff then as we use Exchange here with Safari/Firefox on OSX with no issues....now...keep in mind it is a dumb down version of even the OWA in Windows with IE, but it works, and has worked for past several years...

Thanks, man. I actually uninstalled the beta after ca. 4 seconds, because I could not stand having the tabs on top. Now that I found this post, and the post detailing how to make 1password work with it, I may give it another try.

Thanks...
