So Safari says: Well maybe the user will click here so lets load the page in the background in case?
Probably something like that, yeah. I'd be curious to see if anyone notices a difference or if they can benchmark it.

I am very impressed with the speed coming out of Safari 4 Beta. I been using webkit for the last couple of months and Safari 4 is very nicely polished and is now my main browser. Did I tell you its snappy as hell too?
I've been using FireFox lately and I'm loving it. I can't go back to Safari, quite a bit of compatibility and load issues with certain sites.
Oh, news to me. Guess we'll have to wait for something from Agile.![]()
I had the same problem too, just refresh until you see a download button.

Try it guys... and in a few hours I will post another HUGE secret command - something that hasn't been done in any browser
One thing I haven't been able to figure out: some of my Top Sites appear with the top-right corner folded down, to reveal a little white star on a blue background. Clicking the star doesn't do anything special. Any idea what these are for?
Gee, Apple seemed to really botch this beta. Everything that uses webkit does not work...including iTunes and Mail. I expect a patch very, very soon.
Strange browsing habits. Far be for me to preach but...![]()

Like the improvements very much, but a colleague noted that Microsoft Hotmail doesn't seem to work in this version. The inbox opens, but it's impossible to open any e-mails. Weird![]()
Still no exchange support for my university email here! That's one of the only reasons I am currently having to stick to using Firefox.

I can't even launch Safari 4. It just crashes as soon as I launch it.
Edit: I don't have any Safari plug-ins installed.
