I'm very disappointed this doesn't install within Snow Leopard yet! I just tried running the Leopard Installer and when I get to the Choose Drive screen, it says I must pick a drive running 10.5.6 or higher...which I am! This is drastically different from whats in Seed 10A261 and I want to have fun with it too!!

You're also forced into having a "bookmark it" button since Apple has now made it part of the address bar.

I hate this. I want to get rid of that bookmark button but would also like to retain address bar. Apple, damn you, I cannot make that choice anymore!

Hopefully enough people give feedback about this and they'll be forced to revert.

Please remember...BETA.

Changes will be made based on user feedback. Use the Report Bug button whenever anything isn't just right.

Also, some of the new changes can be reverted back to Safari 3 with some simple Terminal commands (someone posted some already).

Also, 1Password does work as noted in a post made by me earlier, and by another member.

I am just waiting for Inquisitor to get updated now. I miss that almost as much as 1Password.

I've just noticed there's a little refresh icon at the far-right of the address bar. It doesn't double as a stop button but at least refresh hasn't disappeared completely (although that's a really stupid place to put it IMO).

Actually the refresh button on the right does double as a stop button. Try clicking it while a pages is loading and you'll see. It even changes to an X temporarily. Also the keyboard shortcut, ESC, still works as well, to stop a page loading.

Well, just tried to install Safari 4, installed fine, restart, tried to open, bounced a couple of times in my dock and...... nothing :( Did not want to open. So I figure my Mac does not want it, re-opened the .dmg and uninstalled it. Reverted back to Safari 3 just fine. That was my short but fun experience with Safari 4 Beta... :D

just wanted to add another vote in favor of this release. after over an hour of use everything has been really quick and smooth, and i appreciate the top sites feature and the tabs-on-top doesn't seem to bother me as much as other people.

overall, for a beta release this seems pretty solid.

Is there an option to finally open new sites in a New Tab and not a New Window?!

This is a main reason I switched to FF3.

I'm at work and can't update till tonight.

I actually like the bookmark button in the address field. I'm sorry but you sorta sound like a baby crying, it's not that big of a deal, everybody bookmarks pages. Again, it is beta, any changes can happen.

I mostly like it, but I preferred tabs under the address/bookmarks bar rather than above.

cmd*click

I knew this but I didn't want to have to do this every time. Thanks for the link from the poster above - anybody try this yet with Safari 4?

Yet I still don't understand why the need to offer it in a hidden feature that requires Terminal and just made it an option.

Alright - MAJOR ISSUE...

When dragging an image from Safari to iChat, the image of the site itself is placed into iChat as opposed to the image you're actually trying to share.

Fix this, and I will love again.

Only thing I would like now, is the option to let the download window disappear automatically after all downloads have finished.

I haven't downloaded it yet, but I don't think I will like the tabs being on top. I mean, it's just further away. I don't think I'll like the new loading animation either.
