does anyone know how i can disable the google search suggestions. i really do not want this feature in my browser...

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5H11 Safari/525.20)

So Safari really should seem "snappier" with this upgrade.

All in all this sounds like a good new product. I will be downloading the public beta to test it out.

Holy Shizzle. It IS fast! :)

The opening movie kind of scared me and when it finished I was like er... now what? :p

Whos betting that this update has now broken HSBC internet banking (only a week after it was fixed). :D

I'm sure I'll like it, although I kinda like how safari is NOW, with the tabs on the bottom and stuff...oh well, I trust it'll be good.

So far so good for me. I'm not as reliant on the various browser features as some of you, so the new Safari is working fine, no complaints. The only question I have is how to add a specific site to the 'Top Sites' page. It seems to only try pulling webpages from your history. But I'd like to have 12 specific pages that I can see a quick preview of if need be instead of just clicking the 'X' on the chance that it grabs the right webpage. Any ideas?

ps: Not sure I'm crazy about tabs along the top, but maybe I'll get use to it.

So far, it's quite stable. And yes, it is faster, much faster than Safari 3. Seems to render text differently though. I usually read MR by clicking Zoom In twice. Now two times is too big and 1 time is too small. Still have to get used to tabs being on top.

I'd have to say, the new features are amazing!!

The tabs on top will need some getting use too.

Now if we could only get rid of those stupid flash adds, things would run so much better!

Wow, the new Safari in Vista looks much much better than Safari 3, definitely an upgrade. I might actually start using it on Windows.

Awesome.

I'm getting sick of Firefox crashing on me in XP. Time to switch to Safari 4!

I was having lots of problems until I deleted all inputmanager hacks. That includes inquisitor, and any SIMBL plugins. Pages were not fully loading and the interface was totally unresponsive before that. Deleted those, restarted Safari, and the browser is ridiculously fast.

It does auto-complete based on google suggest now anyways, so not much need for inquisitor.

Looks kinda sexy to me. I am a FF3 user. This is the first time I have been excited about Safari. It is nice and I do use it sometimes, but nothing has tempted me away from FF. Maybe this will be the release that wins me over. Anyway I'll be watching all you beta testers to see what the deal is. Maybe I'll just mosey on over to the Apple site and test it myself...

Like the improvements very much, but a colleague noted that Microsoft Hotmail doesn't seem to work in this version. The inbox opens, but it's impossible to open any e-mails. Weird
