Still disappointing they don’t work with iPad. Honestly there is no valid reason to require an iPhone to use them, especially the cellular models. I feel they always did this on purpose to ensure people couldn’t just own a Mac or iPad to use them. Pretty sure all Android watches work with Android tablets.

It drives sales of the phone. Apple Watch allegedly was planed to work even with android. Considering its the most sold watch (not just smart watch) in the world I am certain its bringing in some extra coin via requiring the phone to be bought as well.

after watching today's event, i am so happy just staying put with my Series 8 (non-USA model with oxygen sensor even if the sleep apnea function is only available for Series 9 and above).
Series 9 is a lot faster than the 8 in processing speed, so it makes that sleep apnea function is available on 9 and above.

Yeah, it’s almost like a loss leader to ensure you part with at the least $400 on top of your Watch purchase! It’s a shame because it’s a good product but I’m not buying an iPhone to use it.

While I have zero interest in any of the new iPhone’s, I am ordering the jet black as soon as pre-orders open.

Actually there was a 42, there us to be a 38 and 42 before the 40 and 44, then 41, 45. Now 42 and 46.
I See, makes sense, I was operating from my Series 6 I think.

Waiting for some videos of the new 42mm. I mean, already ordered it because I want small anyway buuuut still for the joy of getting it next week time to binge videos on it. :D

Tim Cook apple is very good at that. You'll look at the entry level iPad and 30 Minutes later it seems to make all the sense in the world to buy a iPad Pro for 1200€ instead.

Alright then, I was rather negative about the S10 when the rumors said the small Apple Watch would be larger than the older large watch size.

Good job Apple. Basically the same case size, compatibility with previous bands, titanium, thinner body and smaller screen bezel.

Also they didn't mess up the magnetic Milanese loop with the horrible looking one the Ultra got.

No, it was 40 and 44. Now it's 42 and 46. If I am not completely stumbling over something.
Actually the Series 8 and 9 were 41mm and 45mm. According to Apples website:

Series 9 (and 8)
45mm by 38mm by 10.7mm (45mm)
38.7 grams (aluminum, GPS)
39.0 grams (aluminum, GPS + Cellular)
51.5 grams (stainless steel)

41mm by 35mm by 10.7mm (41mm)
31.9 grams (aluminum, GPS)
32.1 grams (aluminum, GPS + Cellular)
42.3 grams (stainless steel)

Series 10
46mm by 39mm by 9.7mm (46mm)
36.4 grams (aluminum, GPS)
35.3 grams (aluminum, GPS + Cellular)
41.7 grams (titanium)

42mm by 36mm by 9.7mm (42mm)
30 grams (aluminum, GPS)
29.3 grams (aluminum, GPS + Cellular)
34.4 grams (titanium)

Will it get the same watch faces that the Ultra has?

Likely not, the Ultra will likely still have Ultra-only faces. I really like the red night-time face on the Ultra, but perhaps you could get one close on the S10.

Does anyone know the difference between S9 and S10 processor? is it just the badging like when Series 4 (S4) and Series 5 (S5) processors literally have no difference between them Performance wise.

I don't think we'll know until they are in the hands of those that test these devices. I'm interested too. I was wanting a black Ultra 3, but I'm not sure about buying a year-old watch in a new color. On the other hand, if its the same processor relabeled as S10, I might be more inclined to go ahead and upgrade. Then again, my 7 still has a working O2 sensor that I just used for the first time probably since I purchased the watch 3 years ago. 🤣

So the ultra in black still has S9 CPU and new S10 doesnt have blood oxygen any more ? Even in the Uk store its not mentioned in the spec ??????

I think I'll keep my S7 edition which has it all still hahahahaahhaah
Wrong, the AW10 does.

I think they always keeled compatibility so far. You would not have a seamless edge but you could even use the bigger bands on the smaller watch and the other way around.

How is the cellular version lighter than the version with only GPS? 🧐
