Technicolor ... a TV is coming.

What do I know but hopefully there is a mini iPad with retina in the mix.

Lol

I have a good friend who lives in Cupertino and both of us have been looking forward to the new Mac Pro for a LONG time (well before the disaster of an upgrade last year). To say that we're looking forward to it would be a great understatement.

It's probably about 7am there right now, so I decided to send him this text along with the attached image:

DUDE, look at the WWDC logo!!! What do you see in there??? www.apple.com/macpro

LOL, he bought it, hook, line, and sinker. In all fairness, we'll probably see an announcement for it anyway at WWDC, but hell...I couldn't resist.

I'm going for the logo symbolising cross app support on all devices and further merging of iOS and OSX - The same app on all devices with everything syncing on macbooks, ipads and iphones using iCloud - like it does now for some apps. No doubt this will lead to a simplification of OSX interface.

Doing that they'll probably up the base to 10GB of free storage. That is my hope anyway!

Obviously that could lead to touch on the MBA and MBP's or just larger trackpads.

Can someone shed light on the benefits of going if everything is thrown up online anyway?

Good one! Your friend really fell for that? lol

I am wondering if Tim's statement yesterday about new product announcements in the fall of 2013 and throughout 2014 is just a set up for a "One more thing..." announcement of the Mac Pro at WWDC.

I feel so stupid.

You and me both. I was born three decades too early. Good lord what I could have been if I was born in the 90's with a PC in my crib :D

I find that trying to learn to code in my late 40's and early 50 is difficult. I can't retain everything I try to learn. When I was ten I spoke and understood six languages. I learned them all just by spending a few months in each country.

**Reaches for the abacus to figure out how much he could have made** :(

LOVE LOVE LOVE the logo for WWDC this year! I am on board with others in hoping a new logo is a sign for new direction and aesthetic for iOS!

From Cult of Mac;

• Rounded rectangles — These are in the shape of app icons, so it’s possible these shapes indicate a new function of the iOS operating system. A literal interpretation could be that Apple is bringing OS X’s Stacks to iOS, but another possibility is this: all of those app icons are semi-transparent, and can be seen through each other. To me, this suggests iOS is finally getting Services, allowing apps in iOS to directly communicate with each other like in OS X. Apps are no longer sandboxes, but sandboxes with transparent sides. Get it?

• Colorful icons — Killian thinks that these icons look flat to him, and suggests that it could mean some major visual changes in iOS 7, perhaps adopting a flatter, more contemporary style under the direction of Jony Ive. Another possibility is that rumors are true, and Apple intends on launching a colored range of iPhones in June. Previous rumors pegged this colored iPhone as the 5S, but Tim Cook in last night’s earnings call openly said not to expect major new products from Apple until fall, so if it were to be anything, it would likely be a colored iPhone 5 variant.

• WWDC MMXIII — Killian thinks it is odd that Apple, which has used Myriad as a font in all previous WWDC announcements, is using an entirely different stylized font this year for the WWDC portion of the icon. He suggests it’s another hint that Apple is going to adopt a flatter, more modern design across iOS. I’m less convinced, but I do find the choice to make WWDC ‘reflect’ MMXIII interesting: to me, that implies second screen stuff, indicating to me that Apple might significantly beef up AirPlay, announcing new ways for your Mac, iPad, iPhone or Apple TV to communicate with one another.

LOL, yup! I still haven't told him it's fake...it was sent maybe 20 minutes ago and he's been eating it right up. To keep the jig going, I'm trying to think of something to say when he actually checks the MR site and can't see the MP image, lol.

ROFL, I know it's awful...somehow it actually passed.

Headline is totally wrong.

Tickets are not on sale tomorrow. They go on sale tomorrow at 10am. They will be on sale until 10:07am if you're lucky, then they are sold out :D

Why do people think they're icon shaped? They all odd shapes

Back to the Past

The colors found of the invitation are found in the original Apple Logo. Maybe they are referring to their more innovative period.

Great for iOS and OS X, but I can't help but wonder what the iWork team have been doing for the last few years.

iWork 09 is a fantastic suite of apps, but it is surely due for a revamp with a few extra bells and whistles soon.

...... iveOS 7..... We have been expecting you !

Very good. :)

But surely:

iOS 7 - Ive been expecting you!

Really looking forward to seeing any of Ive's creativity on iOS 7.

Couple of apps recently that I've liked and would be happy for iOS generally take design cues from - Todoist and the new Yahoo Weather app.
