I might be just imagining it but some of those shapes appear like products and features. I see what looks like an AirPod case (wireless charging update??). There’s also a thin round disk with a line going through it. I’m not sure it this could represent an Apple Watch charger, or perhaps the hand of a clock, maybe indicating an Apple Watch announcement. Or maybe it’s a new round Apple Watch :) There’s definitely some iMessage speech bubbles, so more iMessage stuff that we’re all dying for. And then lots of 3D shapes that look like they are being scanned or turned/manipulated. So probably more AR stuff. Thoughts?

I think if I had to read into it and there’s no exact thing here as I don’t believe Apple put clues in their invites, I’d say that it’s more to do with the Marzipan announcement, iOS apps working on the Mac, they are brought together hence them appearing together in the invite.

Emphasis on AR for sure. Right now it’s more of a neat trick than anything really useful but maybe it’ll be better now?

It does looks very AR featured, maybe an update to AR Kit

This. How much one-on-one time did you have with any of the engineers? Apple always likes to announce they have "1,000 engineers on hand" to help people with questions on their projects. To me this seems like one of the best parts of WWDC (being able to discuss coding as it relates to something you're working on).

Plenty. They have labs going from 9:00am to 4:00pm (I think?) every day where there are engineers available to talk to. Depending on what you have questions about and when you go to ask the wait time can be 5 minutes up to an hour or so. But once you have them, you can make sure your question(s) are fully answered. I asked a question regarding determining the up face of a Scene Kit cube object and the engineer went pretty in depth with how to figure it out, even though it ended up being more of an Open GL problem than a Scene Kit one.

Being able to talk to the people that developed the API your stuck on is what makes the ticket price worth it. Sessions are available online the next day, so you could spend all day in labs, then play catch up on the previous days sessions when you aren't actively talking to someone.

Pretty cool graphic! Very different than ones in the past.

So no March event then? Clock is ticking away!
The invites would have long since gone out if there was to be a march event - a press release was always more likely

Maybe I'm seeing too much here but it seems to me like it's made to ressemble a circuit board of UI components and programming characters. Not sure what it could mean though.
In the process of assembling a new Mac mini, they succeeded in locating a 4 yr old one.

Brand new Mac mini, Mac Pro & Thunderbolt 3 display as well as WIRED Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad & WIRED Magic Mouse 2 for them!

Did anyone notice the arrows and dots around the box in the lower right corner of the WWDC 2018 notice? Eight dots - could that possibly be code for ipad mini (8 letters)?

If you go to the full picture, on the developer site, can see more of the graphic. Something that stands out to me?

Is the floating round balls that have the X - and <> in them. Same as the Red, Yellow, Green flat circles in upper left of open windows of applications. So, I'm thinking OS X interface in some sort of Iron Man virtual touch screen computer :D

WDC in the past: “Yay! Excited to see what iOS brings!”

WDC in 2018: “God hopefully they don’t make it even worse.”

I’m usually pretty excited about WDC, but given their track record over recent years it really is hard to be anymore.
I fully agree!

That's what I thought. Even with 5,000 attendees that's still only 5 people per engineer, a pretty good ratio.

Oh yeah! And if you count the number of dots between that arrow and the '>' at the top, add 18 because it's in 2018 that's 33. Probably for "Floating iMac you can put in your pocket".
