Until apps require more than 1GB of ram.
This is the stupidest thing I read all day. Whose massive app is that? Did you ever use iOS?
Until apps require more than 1GB of ram.
This. SMS Relay and iCloud Drive don't really work without Yosemite anyways so why would they release them now? "Here's a feature that you can use if your're a developer or beta tester." Better to highlight them with the release of Yosemite next month.
i opened a bug with myfitnesspal but maybe it was Apple's fault. Something I logged as 470 calories in their app showed up as .47 calories in Health.
Until apps require more than 1GB of ram.
iOS won't run on the iPhone 6 by the time apps require > 1GB of RAM. The vast majority of apps out now still work on 512MB RAM machines.
I got a feeling its down to security - reason is that health data is protected by IOS and maybe there is a problem in the code that could cause an issue like HeartbleedSMS Relay, iCloud Drive and now HealthKit all delayed.
Way to go Apple.
icloud drive= NOT READY
icloud photo library= NOT READY
SMS relay= NOT READY
photos for OS X= NOT READY
Health Kit= NOT READY
If major features aren't available at launch, they should have just pushed the launch back or not included them till a 8.1 update.
I would say this is Apple's sloppiest release to date. Bit off more than they can chew
It does? I thought it worked between iPhone and iPad too, without needing a Mac at all. Is that not accurate?Complaining about the SMS relay "delay" is dumb as obviously it is a feature that requires Yosemite which is not available at this time.
It certainly hasn't been graceful, but it makes sense to hold these things back until they're really ready. They are cornerstones of Apple's services going forward - they need to be right. Releasing them half-baked is 10x worse than what they're doing here.
Lest we forget the Maps launch.
But Scott was already fired!
So...what's new since iOS7 then? No Healthkit, no extensions, no continuity (because we don't have yosemite yet, + SMS relay delayed), no iCloud drive, still no keyboards on the App Store. I mean, is there anything at all I can play with if I download this release now?![]()

Am i misunderstanding the problem... Are they pulling their own health app? HealthKit completely or are they ONLY pulling the 3rd party apps that have been developed for HealthKit? And have they said WHY they're being pulled?
And the hits just keep on coming...
