Apple Arcade eliminates all the Pay to play and ad crap that other mobile games do. The quality is good and clearing my mind of Apple Arcade hate before I download and play a game also helps.

I have Apple One subscription, but I haven't found a single game worth playing from the Apple Arcade. Most of them are just cute graphics with nothing much going on.
Really!? You mean you haven’t played Word of Demons? Or NBA2k?

I really want to get into Apple Arcade. My concern with any subscription-based gaming is, what if you really like a game but the dev/Apple pulls it out of Apple Arcade years down the line.

Might be a dumb concern but whatever.
I have tons of games on iOS that have just disappeared after I bought them. The developer decides its not worth it or it didnt work out and the game disappears.

You should seriously consider just getting a trial, and playing OH2 (and other things) for a month.
Many of the games are available on Steam and consoles (for $20+ each).

I've enjoyed the service from day 1, and if you like quality mobile games without IAP it's hard to find a better way to spend $5/month. If you're not sure which games to try, the /r/AppleArcade discord has 4,300+ fans (and many Arcade developers) ready to provide suggestions based on what games you tend to like. B^)

Do wonder how this will pan out. I have no interest in another monthly bill, however mini a cable bill it may be.
I hate the fact that literally every company is attempting to move to a monthly or even weekly based subscription model. I know it makes the company tons of money but I hate it from the consumer standpoint. I can see how people can easily get carried away and end up with hundreds of dollars worth of recurring monthly subscriptions.

Quality over quantity... sadly the quality isnt really there either IMO, everything I have tried has been quite shallow or style over substance.
Yes, Apple played Netflix Originals strategy and added as many games as it can. But that diluted Apple Arcade with lower median gaming experience.

At this point, there are more than enough number of titles. Apple needs to focus on AAA quality games.

I don’t know if they have a secret behind the scenes super smart agenda for Arcade to dominate the gaming world, or they are just plain dumb and don’t understand what gamers want.

No wonder because nobody cares about the service.. During my 3 months trial I tried 3 games, played them for like 10 minutes and never played anything from Apple Arcade ever again. Apple needs mature big games on the platform, not simplistic arcade games for kids.

While there were definitely no games released in May, here’s a list of my personal favorite game from each month of Arcade. Theres a lot of creativity in there if you’re willing to try something new.

I don’t really know if anyone in my country would interest in Apple Arcade. It’s just too indie, too cartoonish, and too casual to appeal people in East Asia, when there are thousands of free-to-play (pay-to-win) games with busty characters available on App Store.

Last week's "new game" was a re-release of INKS., called, not surprisingly, INKS.+. Having played both versions, I didn't see any obvious differences. It would be nice if Apple or the publisher would detail whether any new features/functionality exist in the "+" versions.

Any '+' versions are no different than the original, except that they include any purchasable chapters/content.

I loved INKS, so I'm glad more people will get to play it when INKS+ releases. (it's still in Arcade's Coming Soon section)

The "+" just differentiates it from the paid/free version AFAIK. It's nice that Apple added all these classics (although "Cut the Rope" isn't a game that needed reviving), but the "+" is definitely a misnomer.

I wish apple was serious about gaming or at least let better services into the appstore. An ipad with fully functioning xCloud/nVidia Now/Stadia with external display capability would make for an excellent console, but instead they are relegated to webapps that lack core functionality (mouse and keyboard for example).

Instead apple insists on the Arcade strategy, trash mobile games for a low subscription price. The only games I play on ipad today are Slay the Spire, Divinity OS2, and Civ. All are excellent indie or AAA titles that are way above the quality of anything in Apple Arcade.

I've been really enjoying Arcade (mostly playing ST Legends) even though I have a gaming rig PC sitting next to me. It's a sad state for gaming when I'd rather use a controller and play something on my Apple TV (got the new 4K, it's great for games - can't believe how much better they look) than one of the so-called AAA releases on PC. All new "AAA" games are boring or overly complicated and a waste of time.
Funny that. I think most Apple Arcade games are boring, overly simplistic and a waste of time!

I’d much rather play a game on my PS5 than some throw away mobile game. (Unless I’m in the loo. Then again there is always remote play!) Haha!

Usual "Apple treatment" for languishing products and services. Nothing new here.

Despite the significant news for Apple's mobile gaming subscription service, more than eight weeks have now passed with no new games being added to the platform.
Apple Arcade‌ launched in September of 2019 as an ad-free mobile game subscription service with no in-app purchases. ‌Apple Arcade‌ is available across the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, and Mac for $4.99 per month, or as part of the Apple One bundle.
I don’t see Apple hardly mentioned it in the press anymore. They offer a year of Apple TV + if you buy a new Apple TV 4K gen 2, but they also throw in 3 months of Apple Arcade as a trial. But then there never was a more radical update to the Apple TV released that was game oriented, in other words they dropped the ball to further promotion of Apple Arcade on that platform.

Now it is possible WWDC might be what they are saving some great new Apple Arcade games for, but the main justification of even being a subscriber is no longer true as evidenced by this article for one of Apple’s marketing strategies at least going by Apple Arcade goal:
New games and content updates are added to Apple Arcade every week. To preview upcoming releases, look for the Coming Soon section in the Arcade tab on the App Store.
Is this service still growing or has the service stalled? In a week we will see.

I got a year free from Verizon recently. I cannot fathom what on there is worth $5 a month to anybody. I felt cheated spending the 5 minutes it took to sign up. I would be embarassed if I worked for Apple on this project.

Game development takes years, it’s hard to expect fresh new games every week or month. I do think Apple should look into acquiring studios, and better known franchises, like Microsoft and Sony are doing.
I agree they need to invest in some development efforts. They need exclusives people care about.

957,390 games were in the app store at the end of 2020. Apple Arcade in 3 years time has a whopping 150 games spread across IOS, ATV, and Mac. Even older properties that are paid games aren't signing up to milk those cows more. Think of... Knights Of The Old Republic... it's on IOS and Mac, 20 years old but an amazing game people still love... that's the kind of older property you'd think would want to milk out more money and get people that never played invested it (especially because it's a 50-70 hour game to complete and the royalty payments are based upon active minutes someone is in a game). That's one of many examples.... yet.... crickets.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'd pay $10 for good content before I'd ever pay $5 for a wasteland of crap.
