I just wished more people would wait like you so I could get one close to launch.
Absolutely fantastic. Seems to me like all these gray clouds are starting to get out of our way and we are finally hearing some relatively safe rumors. I think this one event is going to be big -- in fact, it has to be big, as it'll be Cook's first leading live event, the time line for an iPhone update has been surpassed by a lot, and so on and so forth. It seems like we're almost there, gent, so let's just hope for the best!

If they bring a iP5. I will buy it. I think all we will get is the 4S. (no matter what they call it) I guess we can debate what hoops AAPL with have to jump to get to the 5 level. I would hope for a; form factor change b; screen size, c; faster/thinner/lighter d; true world phone c; the list goes on into tech-speak.

Exactly. I don't understand why people who call the next iPhone the 4S think that next year we will get an iPhone 5. It will be the 6th phone, why would Apple call it the iPhone 5. Makes no sense.

They will release two phones. iPhone 4s (maybe called something else) and the iPhone 5 which is a redesign. 4 inch screen, tapered back, 8mp camera.
Hopefully this week goes by fast so we can get to the October 4th event. But, this week may hold some big news including the official invites from apple. We may even see some leaks. Who knows.
Also, for those who say "it's just a phone," or "there are real problems happening in the world," WE GET IT!
