Has anyone actually received the invite email TODAY?
Not seeing much of that reported today so maybe they've stopped now?

looks like the rollout is over. No one has posted about getting an email or the ability to add the card today.

Interest rate is important only if you leave balances. If you are diligent not to leave balances, interest rate is irrelevant.

I don't think this is a card specific feature. Apple Wallet does this already with any credit card you have in the app as long as you check out with Apple Pay whether it be in person or online.
Apple Pay uses a substitute PAN number in place of your real credit card number (a token). This is what gets stored to your iPhone when you add a credit card. It also uses a one-time security code making each transaction unique. The token on your device remains the same, only the security code is changed. So it functions like a rolling credit card number. Samsung Pay and Android Pay also use the same system.

The main difference is now it will generate an actual 16 digit card number, expiry date and CVV number you can type into an online credit card form to make a payment. It's taking Apple Pay one step further by allowing you to use virtual numbers exactly like a physical card for places that don't accept Apple Pay.

Is this a new feature? I have been doing that for more than 10 years, I only use my real card for a quite small number of companies (Apple being one of them)

I do have a real credit card but this also works with debit cards, i.e. you have a real debit card behind the virtual credit card number.

Which system are you talking about exactly? HCE (host card emulation)? Or something else?

2 pennies for every dollar you spend you feel is solid? And that's not everywhere...that's just places that take ApplePay.

Not so solid to me.
Credit card rewards aren't going to make you rich. 2% unlimited cash back at places like Starbucks, McDonalds, CVS, etc is as good or better than any card out there.

The Citi Double Cash card is good too, but it has foreign transaction fees.

I have a Chase Sapphire Reserve that offers 3% on Travel/Dining, but I can use the ApplePay 2% in conjunction.

My card is shipping today, 816 Transunion Score, a $7500 Limit at 17.99%

Got a $6,500 limit with 17.99 APR. Higher limit than I expected but perfect as my primary card for security, privacy, and dashboard of my transactions

You both have excellent credit scores, anything over 750 is considered top tier anywhere else.....curious why you are not approved at 12.99% interest and what it would take to be at or around that 12.99%?

Who is offering more than 2% in rewards on everyday purchases? 2% from what I have seen is the highest. Sure some have rotating calendars for certain things... But 2% is fairly good imo.

Why you would trust your Finances to Apple is Crazy. who knows what they can pull.

You consider opening a credit card to be trusting my finances to an organization?

You own or have owned Apple products I assume, which means you’ve likely given Apple access to all your usernames, passwords, contacts, emails, inserted your credit card information to iTunes and many apps or purchases on the web at some point?

This is basically a "Hey look at me" card. Citi Double Cash is where it's at. 2% back on everything, and no yearly fee.

I am curious what anyone with a score over 800 got as far as a credit limit.

edit - Nevermind....just had to read the multiple pages to find at least answer. The limit is lower than what I thought someone over 800 would get.

transunion 831, 12.99% apr and 40k limit. although my capital one card limit is higher, i was surprised to see such a high limit on this card.

probably won't use it except for apple purchases since I can't export to quicken.

edit: I think the limits are probably a function of credit score and income...

So you just went to the Wallet app and the card invite was there?
Not exactly... I opened Wallet, tapped the plus sign in the upper right, then selected the option to apply for the Apple Card. I had to send them a snapshot of my ID, but aside from that, it was a very simple process.

Meh, the interest rate on my credit union card is 9.9%. I think I'll stick with that.

My CU also has the same 9.9%interest rate. I'm not a fan of proprietary CC's but if others can get a good interest rate here under the 20-26% most cards charge, go for the Apple Card.
