Sorry, may have misunderstood. When you first open Wallet all your cards are listed vertically. Just tap and hold on the one want for Apple Pay and slide to bottom. The card on bottom is the one for Apple Pay. Sorry if I misunderstood.

I see, I thought you meant in 'Card Information'. :)

No, sorry. In Card Information I had a 16 digit card number when I first signed up. When I activated my physical card and checked that same number, the last 4 digits changed. That was my confusion. Hope that makes sense.

Ether way, I have been enjoying the card and all the instant info the Card provides.

In about three hours, it will be 96 hours since I submitted my correct Apple ID after receiving that “pre” invite email from Apple.

At this point, I’m convinced this whole thing about the Apple Card is 100% completely made up. Not real. A sham. Your “pictures” are clever, but they’re probably all Photoshop. Shipping problems are all imaginary, too. Have fun with your fake Apple Card, folks!

It's the worst rollout in recent history (besides AirPower I guess, which never even made it to rollout)

Strange, I don't think the last for digits of the 16 digit number changed after I activated the physical card. I also like the statistics and color-coding but as you mentioned, it could be more specific, particularly in stores where not everything is in the same category.

I see what you mean the last 4 on the card when applied and the last 4 on the physical card is different. Not sure why this is.

I am going to put the newest number in my Kroger App which I scan at checkout and if that works into my Sam's Scan & Go App. Will see.

I will assume if I never got the Physical card the number would not have changed.

Guess the number used with Apple Pay doesn't matter. And, if issues occur like you said, just provide the 4 digit number given under Physical Card.

This definitely was not the case for me. I entered my card information into 1Password when I first got it, and now even after I have received and activated the physical card the number matches what I'd previously written down.

This is odd, and left me curious. Especially after reading this post:

...the 16 digit number that appears in your wallet is an Apple Pay number, not an actual credit card number. So if you go to a store that does not have a card reader/scanner and also does not accept Apple Pay then the card will not work.

For $16 I decided to satisfy my curiosity with a USB mag strip reader. I plugged the reader into my computer, fired up a text editor, and gleefully started swiping all the cards I could find. Driver's License, Credit Cards, and my Apple Card. Here's what I learned:

  • I know know the full 16 digit number of my physical card.
  • The last four digits match the digits shown under "Physical Card" in the Wallet App
  • The first four digits match the "Card Number" in the Wallet App (which makes sense since they're the same card type and issuing bank)
  • The middle eight appear to have no relationship with the "Card Number"
  • The expiration dates don't match. Expiration for the card shows as "07/2024" but the expiration on the mag strip for the physical card is "08/2024" which seemed interesting

So know I know the full physical card number. Not sure I'll ever need it, but there it is.

The first four should always match and begins with a 5 which is for MasterCard. The next three indicate the bank.

Has anyone used their Apple Card to order something from Amazon? I just did and got a notice from them that I needed to make a “Payment Revision.” When I placed the order, using the 16 digit number (because you can’t scan the card) it identified the card as a Master Card, but for some reason it appears that it was declined. I changed the payment to my old Master Card that was on file and got a “Payment Revision Successful” message. This is the second time that my card has failed when using the 16 digit number.

You might want to call the Apple Card customer service. I have ordered from Amazon with the AC without any problems. Have you made it your default card in the Wallet app? That should take care of it.

My first twelve numbers are the same before and after activating the physical card. Only last four are different. And, the new last four are not the same as the last four shown under the Physical Card section. But, that 4 digit number shows up as the last 4 digits on my credit card receipts.

I put the full 16 digit number under Card Number into my Kroger App that I scan my grocery purchases with. It worked. Will do the same for Sam's. So, that must be my Physical Card number.

Anyway, as noted, my brain is also fried. Time to just use the card.

It is fun to use though with all the info provided. But, I am old with no life and easily amused---:)

Finally got my invite. Applied. Got a million bucks. I had the card hand delivered to my house. I'll post that next.
[doublepost=1566087698][/doublepost]Here's a picture of my new card.

Thank you, Apple and Goldman Sachs.

Got my invite Sunday, applying went without a hitch. Ordered the physical card which on Monday showed as waiting for UPS 2nd day air, today shows as in transit delivery 8/20 by end of day. Kinda funny since I can round trip to Comton and back in less than 5hrs.

My card has “been ordered”.

Approved last Wednesday evening.

I need that thing shipped by Tuesday. Leaving for vacation on Thursday afternoon.

Wake up Apple. :D

If you have UPS my choice it should automatically show up there. If you have fedex account if you go over the tracking then manage your delivery then it should detect if you have any incoming package. You definitely get yours before your vacay. I got approved last Monday and got my card on Thursday.

This might of been covered but I take payments on Apple Pay a lot and was curious if the money on the Apple Cash card can be used to make payments on the Apple credit card. Wouldn’t make sense to not be able to do this but you never know. I don’t have a cash balance right now to try it otherwise I would.
