This is crazy and totally uncalled for. American was first and foremost formed with the idea of religious tolerance. We don't need to make any rules that go to religion, race, sex, or sexual preference. With that said, we also don't need illegal aliens. What we need instead is a visa process that identifies aliens when they come into the country and deports them if they commit a crime or are not gainfully employed. Period!. This is exactly what Mexico does as well as most other countries in the world excluding the failed states of Europe. The solution is simple and reasonable if we could just get all of the doomsayers, fear mongers, and other liberal lap dogs to open their minds and understand reality.

Well, I understand how progressives feel about this issue. But the thing to remember is this, The people who won on election night do not share this vision. Progressives have control of exactly zero branches of federal government. Zero.

Its a new world folks.

Stop telling other people what they think. Now.

That would violate the First Amendment as well as the laws of Christianity.

Were you paying attention to Trump during the presidential campaign? And were you paying attention to who controls congress?

I apologize, I misread that person's post. I got it all backwards. The whole religious tolerance as an opening statement threw me for a loop.

You mean, having different standards for muslims than everybody else entering the country thing is against the constitution?

Are you sure the president-elect is aware of this?

I will never accept Trump. There will be no unity. We will fight this racist piece of s*** until his last day in office. If Apple embraces this fascist pig then I'll boycott Apple.

I'm pretty sure people called for unity when Hitler ceased power in Germany. Trump is wrong. We will oppose him at every moment in his presidency.
Read your post again and tell me you don't sound like a sore ass loser. As someone who thinks they can oppose the president and it mean anything, what are your plans for congress? Oppose them too? You were not part of the majority...accept it

And don't act like the electoral college stole the election. They have been around for a long time, maybe become a super delegate?

How crooked ass Hillary got more than her families vote baffles me

There is one easy way to disprove the notion of God - not only does evil win, it always wins.
[doublepost=1478883997][/doublepost]

Grandfather clause. You're in before the laws are passed, then you get a pass.

But if you are trying to apply for citizenship after the new law is passed, then yes, only Christians need apply. You can stay in the country as a legal alien but this country doesn't need Sharia law. It was founded by Christians for Christians.

And by the way, my two posts merged here are not contradictory. The notion of there not being such a thing as God and the notion of being Christian are not mutually exclusive.

Freedom of religion is here to stay. When the founding fathers were creating the constitution, Benjamin Franklin's suggestion of starting each session with a prayer was declined.

Name for me just one Republican that will say that they will defend to the end a Muslim's right to practice his/her religion and argue to the end against those that use the bible as a basis for public policy. Just one please.

Because, you know, they will control all three branches of government. And the supreme court by an overwhelming majority for the next 30 years.

I did not vote for this stuff. Your fellow seniors did. So you know, your beef ain't with me, sister.

Once again I don't have a beef with anyone. Each person may vote as he sees fit.

Not sure why you wish to cast me now as having some kind of issue with any other voters. I have control over my own behavior. Theirs is up to them.

I voted for Clinton because Sanders, my choice in the primaries, came second in that contest. He then endorsed her and worked for her election and for the election of progressives in Congress. And that's exactly what I did too, except that I considered casting a vote for the establishment Conservative as a protest to the DNC for having put a thumb on the scale in favor of Clinton before she even announced for the presidency. On the way to the polls I decided to cast for Clinton because I felt the electoral vote could go against her. I wanted the popular vote to reflect my personal preference for her v. Trump.

While it's certainly true that I may be affected by majority votes in favor of policies I don't care for, that is a part of how this government works. I will continue working for policy changes in the next elections, and meanwhile try to persuade my Congressman, the redoubtable Mr. John Faso, to see things my way whenever I have occasion to phone him, which I expect will be fairly often. How he votes is up to him but he represents me among his constituents. My views have always been received courteously by the staff of his predecessor, Chris Gibson, so I have no reason to expect anything different from Mr. Faso's staff.

Touche. I forgot that those libertarians caucus with the republicans.
Sorry mate read that as douche lol

What scares me about trump most is how the neocons slipped out on stage after he won. I was under the impression they did not support him but once he won they were right there to celebrate. I take that as they were there the whole time calling shots behind the curtain.

There's more oil in other places then California so I doubt anyone would be interested.
There is plenty of water. You non coastal folk may have never experienced this thing called the ocean. Desalination is how many coastal countries get their water. That's some of that "science stuff" that they may not teach in the country's center states ;)
As far as fruits and nuts, I think if it was cheaper to produce them somewhere else then they should. Farmers have unnaturally used up the ground water there given that it is 70 degrees and sunny year round allowing for continuous growing seasons.

I think many in California would love to not be apart of your KKK rallies and bigotry and if that means a separate country then so be it.

I thought that CA most of their water from the Colorado river.

KKK rallies? I live in Indiana, which is the home of the KKK and I have never even heard of a rally, let alone see one. You are dismissing half the country because one insane group of people have shown support for trump.

Sorry I'm having troubling getting my mobile browser to do what I want it to. That was directed at the person you are responding to

I don't know what you guys were talking about but:
The Ku Klux Klan says it will hold a Trump victory parade in North Carolina

That would violate the First Amendment as well as the laws of Christianity.

There are not going to be mass deportations. This is not going to be circa WWII Germany. It's not going to happen. I have no idea what

That's okay, I figured as soon as I saw it. No harm done. Shirt happens. ;)

Musk and the genius of those solar tiles (if that SolarCity sale goes through) could be one of the most important infrastructure updates and public works projects to grace the sunny states.

THIS. Have you seen the cabinet line-up? Newt as SoS? Really? That being said, http://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-37953528

If they do anything illegal they should be arrested.

The KKK aren't known for their high level of intelligence. Having said that, Trump is not responsible for them supporting him. It's not like Donald Trump is hosting this event lol.

All this election shows is that you could have 2 murderers running and as long as they have a (r)or(d) beside their name, they will get 50/50 of the vote.

Sanders would have beaten Trump, but the dems wanted hellary. Trump should have never been nominated. People should be pissed about the primaries, not the general election.

Freaking terrifying.

Can't help but wonder if Clinton would have won had she selected Peter Thiel for VP.
The news will say the country is too sexist for a female president. Personally, I think she could have ran with Jesus and it wouldn't have mattered. She has been the center of attention for what seems like an eternity and I've never heard anything good about her.

Is that all the broad, baseless epithets you've got to label people you've never met with, or are there more? I only counted three. And there must be more than that... (Have you tried the thesaurus yet?)

As for people on the coasts, they should realize that they put their pants on one leg at a time just like everyone in middle America.
You were the one supporting racism and bigotry, not me or many other folks on the coast. The fact is that we are headed for another civil war as the middle of the country gets left behind in the technological revolution. Believe what you want. For you to not understand why so many folks are angry about the blatant disregard of human rights and decency is par for course.

Are African-Americans who voted for Trump racist?
Hopefully just uninformed.

I thought that CA most of their water from the Colorado river.
Most comes from the north of the state. The Colorado river touches the southern part and that is used for water hungry socal.
I have no special interest in California but this whole thing started when someone attached my suggestion that Tim Cook and company could secede from the nation if needed. This is echoed in the major national papers so is not something I just pulled from nowhere. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...6cc602-a6d9-11e6-ba59-a7d93165c6d4_story.html

I think you were trying to aim at me. Fact is when the north fought the south not everyone in the south believed in slavery. But southerners were still southerners. Just like the middle of the country will largely be thought of as engaging in blatant bigotry and sexism.
If you don't like it why do you allow the KKK to hold rallies in your state of Indiana or shelter a past grand dragon?

Great thing about the first amendment, is that you can't stop people from holding rallies because you don't like what they are saying.

Don't bother. This individual trades one strand of bigotry for another (in this case, against all those damn bumpkin middle America dwellers). Hilarious that they can't actually back up what they are saying with actual facts, and instead consider their own internal biases as enough fact ("the fact is...") and justification to write and think the way they do.

To people like him, it would be nice if we could just get rid of everyone who live in between NYC and LA. Send all those backwards idiots off to a camp of some sort for re-education, and/or to be repurposed after they get left behind by the tech gods on the east and west coast. The ends will always justify the means, so long as the world is finally pure and wholesome.

See, I don't think it is simply down to cost.

Isn't it largely down to a few things, not least:

- proximity to markets and component supplies
- proximity to appropriate labour

I do not believe that Apple, or other electronics companies. could simply relocate manufacturing to the US, and the only difference in would be it being more costly to do so.

That strikes me as a simplistic and naive view.
It may well be naive, but it's not as if the parts for the iPhone would take up much space on a plane. Aluminum, glass and battery are the largest components and I'm sure available widely in most countries.

As for labor, it's not a skilled job to place components.

Reluctantly, I agree with you. The bumper stickers we'll be seeing will read, "Don't Blame Me, My Name's not James Comey" -or something to that effect. I did vote for her, reluctantly. I was actually more concerned about the House and Senate. HRC would probably have had every policy decision Monday Morning Quarterbacked with a "Well, you know Bill would have done this, or Bill would have said that..." that would have been exhausting.

IDK why anyone would want that job. You know who the real winner was? Bernie Sanders because now he can retire and live in peace, hopefully. This whole election cycle has been a bit embarrassing for me because it's my kid's first time voting, and it was a Presidential race. I was all, "Really, it's never been this wild and crazy. Except in 2000." There will be books written about this election.

These are all the counties that went Obama in 2008 and/or 2012 that flipped to Trump in 2016.

I wonder if the Left gets that Barack Obama's legacy is giving us Donald Trump? And now they want Keith Ellison - who represents über liberal Minneapolis - to lead the DNC, and keeping San Francisco's Nancy Pelosi as minority leader....while there's rumors that the democratic senator from West Virginia is going to switch parties because he's up for re-election in 2018 and Hillary Clinton only got 28% of the vote there. The Left really is clueless.
