Actually he did nothing of the kind you suggest.

What actually happened, and I know its hard to believe, is that the other political side (democrats and republicans) and the media lied and lied and lied about the issues in order to try to stay in power.

A lot of people are actually tired of seeing this type of phony irresponsible leadership at the top and all of the racial hatred from the current administration. If liberals were actual open minded instead of just pretending to be open minded, then we would all be better off.

Today the political elite (republicans and democrats) are the ones trying to create racial and economic divide. Trump is not part of that elite, yet. We'll see if he does a good job, but if you wanted social equality and racial harmony, there was only one candidate, Trump, that has a chance against the years of decline brought on by 60's liberals wanting to dominate and get back at the world, instead of making the world a better place.

On the other hand I can see why people are disappointed with the election, free handouts will be much more restricted and a lot of capable people will actually have to start provided some value in order to eat instead of making up worthless causes to protest against and sit back and receive their free government checks. Checks, which as a bankrupt country we can no longer afford.

This is a load or horse ****. Trump IS part of the elite. The same elite that has fooled poor white people into believing they are the same as rich white people. It's a lie that has stagnated this country's growth since slavery was abolished. This same lie has been used by Trump masterfully to fool the GOP voters that "others" are the reasons for their lot in life. You have been fleeced by rich people and told that 'hey it's that brown person who's the problem.'

This country spends BILLIONS setting up puppet governments overseas who oppress their own to look out for US corporate interests. And Then we get shocked when they revolt. Do our corporate elites admit we caused our own problems with extremists? Nope.

Trump will not solve anything. He is part of the problem.

I was never more proud of this country then when Trump one in that landslide

Proud of a whore first lady who appeared in Playboy?
Proud of a sexist, bullying racist?
Proud of a businessman who has failed in everything he's ever done, except to get himself rich?
Proud of someone who doesn't pay taxes?
Proud of someone who lies constantly?

How unAmerican and unEthical can you get?

Really silly that any CEO would need to send out a letter like that. People need to grow up and stop being poor losers. This extends to more than elections. We've seen a few riots of late after a team loses a championship game too.

Elections are hard fought. Lots of stuff is said by candidates -- 99% hyperbole, inartful, misinterpreted, or plan wacky. I think most people realize this fact, but then there is the 2% that takes it literaly. Competition means someone will win and someone will lose. Democracy and free markets means that is not a permanent condition. So the sore losers need to get over it and stop rioting or having a hissy fit like babies who's mom missed their last feeding by .02 miliseconds. If you can't then go to Venezuela. Rioting is a way a of life there. You'll be quite happy.

My post of FaceBook:

To my friends and family, some who voted for someone that didn't win, here's my advice:

Exact your reaction to the election by living your life to the be the best person you can be. It isn't some person in the White House's job to make your life better. That's your job.

Study, learn, grow. Become the person you always wanted to be, and realize that action relies on you, not the President.

Two days ago, it was a choice between Bad and Worse, but today it is a choice between good and great. What it takes to be great is just 2% more effort and a good attitude. Make the choice to be happy, whether your candidate won or lost.

Just in case you're wondering, my candidate lost 6 months ago.

Great post! It's not about the president, it's about what we make ourselves to be. My hope is not in president whether it was Hillary or Trump. My hope is in God!

I did vote for either of them, but I can still respect the system and the person in the White House. We need to come together right now. Stop this hate back and forth and try to understand each other's side. If we can't do that, it does not matter who the president it.

I will never accept Trump. There will be no unity. We will fight this racist piece of s*** until his last day in office. If Apple embraces this fascist pig then I'll boycott Apple.

I'm pretty sure people called for unity when Hitler ceased power in Germany. Trump is wrong. We will oppose him at every moment in his presidency.

President Donald Trump will work for the betterment of the lives of all Americans, even the hateful progressives who have done everything in their power to ruin our nation through socialism and thought policing. For those getting the vapors over the results of an election, maybe its time to reflect on why you've allowed political ideology to become your substitute religion. There's more to life than that.

ROFLOL. You actually bought what he was selling. You are in for one rude awakening.

And before you even think it. I am not for Hillary either.

Guess what so is Clinton. Name one "normal" person that hasn't driven their own car in 30 years because they had their own security detail and personal drivers? Clinton lied to just as many smug, holier than thou, I know what's best for you liberals, poor Blacks, poor Latinos, poor Whites. She's been in politics for half of her life and what exactly has she given any of her followers but hollow promises, and racist labeling when it's politically expedient?

How exactly does socialism, ie the fundamental belief in equality, ruin a nation?

I'd love to hear more about why you would think a mysoginist, racist, climate change denier who has no political experience is somehow the best man for the job of President?

What exactly is Apple scared about? I'm pretty sure they hired all their foreign employees legally. Putting women on higher position something that is not new on the elect president. Same sex marriage is no longer a problem and he lives California that's not gonna change. The only reason I think Cook is worried about, when Apple starts paying higher tax unless he starts bringing manufacturing back in the US. Well they still have to take care the problem first with EU and deal with the US later.
Makes me wonder if working at Apple won't get you in trouble, when sharing your political opinion that doesn't agree with them.

You see, this is part of the problem. You automatically think because I'm against Trump, I'm for Clinton. They are flip sides of the same coin.

I thought it was empowering for women to be proud of their body? Now they are near prostitutes?
How many business have you successful ran. Yeah he failed in a few. He couldn't have failed too many seeing how he made billions and employed thousands.
That part of the system that was set up by people like Clinton?
LOL Clinton was just another honest Abe wasn't she?

This is an example of the kind of empty neoliberal rhetoric that led to Trump getting elected.

A company that touts diversity, yet from an economic standpoint, shuts so many people out.

Dr. King was about racial AND economic justice, a Civil Rights Movement AND a Poor People's Campaign, but Tim Cook and his mealy-mouthed subordinates wouldn't understand that.
As far as I know Apple's hiring practices are inclusive. Who are they shutting out?

what other choice do you have? Suck it up!
The popularity of Calexit suggests exactly what Apple should do. Leave the rest of the racism and bigotry in USA behind for their own California country.

I can't believe Trump is 70 years old. He really has a lot of energy for someone his age. For the people that are complaining that he won, remember that situation happened due to bad decisions from prior elected officials that people also voted in office. Trump is sort of like when you are playing football and you are way behind in the 4th quarter. You go for risker big plays than you normally would to win. I would like to see him be successful as a president and wish him well. When things improve, we could elect a Tim Cook type president that would take less risks in the future.

A good election doesn't have any losers. This isn't war.

And your numbers are complete trash

Of course it's a battle of ideas. That is what a campaign is about. But who said it was "war"? You did. That is your mentality aparently.

And my numbers? What numbers? Oh wait, you mean my 99% hyperbole? Maybe you don't understand what hyperbole is... or you are one of the 2% that campaign rhetoric literal. And to be clear my numers are hyperbole themselve, not to be taken literally. Got it?

In reality - trump will not implement a lot of his so called policies - purely because they were hot air BS. Not possible yet his voters lapped it all up.

He will turn down his rhetoric - he has to if he really wants to unite the usa. He won't continue on being the loud mouth the world has seen.

At the end of four years - he most likely won't be as bad as the doom Sayers think - but then he probably won't be the best - by a long shot - president the usa has ever had.

I've heard a lot of BS over the past year and a half about what Trump is not able to do.

I didn't vote for Trump but why do I get the feeling had Hillary won Tim Cook wouldn't have sent a letter like this to employees? Maybe people in the Bay Area need to wake up and realize not everyone thinks or votes like them? Or California could always secede and we'll see how it survives on its own. Scotland tried it, why not California?

Or maybe the majority of people do, hence she won the popular vote. Not anyone's fault we still employ an 18th century protection against illiterate voters. We have, essentially, 100% literacy in this country.

And California surviving on its own? It's the worlds 6th largest economy and is entirely self-sufficient. They'll do quite fine.

They are the largest company in the world. Theh could do a lot more to create jobs and revenue for the state of CA and the country.

The attitude you take is the real problem in the first place. How can we even compete with China?.

We have to look at these problems realistically, while considering the realities of economics, culture, and infrastructure.

You want to help American workers? Vote for politicians who believe in science and want to promote universal access to quality education, among other things. Vote for politicians who want to make billionaires and corporations pay their fair share of taxes in the US.

In my previous post I outlined several hypothetical scenarios for Apple manufacturing products in the US and the reasons why I feel they are untenable. if you disagree, feel free to provide counterarguments that go beyond magical and wishful thinking.
