Unlike the double faced snake Zuck (who claimed Facebook cracking down on hate speech yet let obvious fake accounts, terror and extremist orgs to exist on the platform because of "engagement"), at least Apple seems to be trying their best to walk their talk. I may or may not agree 100% with what Cook has in mind, but to me Apple is at least the more consistent company amongst other ultra hypocritical silicon valley companies (the likes of Facebook and Google).

Facebook defines hate speech as anything that someone finds offesive. I was banned once for a week for politely saying that there are two genders, male and female.

They claimed it was hate speech. They do this everyday, but they only seem to target conservatives...

Do you have proof of this? Email or message?

The millionth time someone has said this. It has nothing to do what Apple can and/or cannot do. This is about politics, definitions and ideologically driven drivel.
I don’t have time to read through a million comments. I just saw the article and first couple posts and commented.

An award like this should go to someone like Heather Heyer posthumously who fought racism on the front lines instead of a CEO.

Just like there is no such thing as “the left”.
I thought libs loved the idea of collectivist identity. Isn't "left" the correct term? Did I assume their group identity? What do they prefer? "Liberals"?

It has everything to do with what Apple can do. If you don't like what they are doing. Don't support them. I don't know why it's so difficult to understand.

I have to agree here.

Bakers are private companies. Can they do what they want? Can they deny a wedding cake to a gay couple? Restaurants are private companies. Can they tell a black family that they're kind aren't welcome?

No. They can't. Government can absolutely place limits on private companies. Government can absolutely force a company to follow the Bill of Rights.

that is taking it to the extreme.............. in this case they can do as they please and no GOVT agency is going to go after them for it.

Calling someone a nazi is a far cry from calling for every LGBTQ or Latino or whatever be killed on sight.
Killed on sight? What chapter of the SJW manifesto can I find that instruction? "When confronted with refutations regarding the use of terms such as 'Nazi', tell your opponent that there are loads of people every day who want LGBT or latino people to be shot on sight."

Let’s have everyone define hate speech.

If you speak against a race that’s hate speech!
If you speak against a sex that’s hate speech!
If you sing a song about killing cops that’s hate speech!
If you speak against gay people that’s hate speech!
If you write an article about assassinating Trump that’s hate speech!
If you say there are radical Muslims out there that’s hate speech!
If you don’t agree borders should be open that’s hate speech!
If you say that men and women are different that is hate speech!
If you speak about not outlawing offensive speech that’s hate speech!
...And so and so on...

If you say you like blonde hair and blue eyes, that's hate speech.
If you say all lives matter equally, that's hate speech.
If you say you believe in equal opportunity for everyone, that's hate speech.

Society is so messed up, nobody can open their mouth without offending somebody.

Oh and I don’t have an issue with the definitions thing. Call it what you want, if Apple feels something is unsuitable for their platform, they can ban it.

If I wen't into a restaurant with the clear intent of spewing hate speech at people, then that restaurant has every right to refuse service to me. I can scream freedom of speech all I want, but the restaurant can refuse serving me.

Well, I absolutely hate how Tim Cook runs Apple in many ways. This has nothing to do with him being gay or a white male but mostly about how horrible his leadership is and how Apple's going down in quality during his reign. Is this hate speech or am I still allowed to have an opinion?
