It is just a play for the gallery, when you start vetting people based on arbitrary nationality or possible religious affiliation, not by actual merit by person. The EO are just a way to show the president is a man of action not just words, to be more precise unthoughtful, fear-based, hastily, populistic actions. And why will it make USA safer? It would not have stopped the previous incidents and actions.
On the flip side, the likes of IS, Al-Qaida, and others will be thrilled, because they can tell "look at how they treat you, join us instead". And the already too large refugee camps just outside Syria and Iraq are the perfect breeding grounds for IS, because that is where they infiltrate with their people to convince and even brainwash so they join their organization. And they are all in one place, the camps sorely need to be dispersed. And no matter how many walls or other obstructions you build, when they really will do something they will find a way.
I guess the rest of the world should stop Americans from traveling abroad because they seem to be connected to school shootings. At least for 120 days so we can devise a way to profile for possible risk subjects. Members of, or family members of NRA or people loving more their home country than the one they are visiting, or maybe anti-abortionists because history have shown that they are inclined to attempt to blow up hospitals.
No this orders do not mitigate the risk, but make it harder for the people who try to play by the rules.
Your beef is with the US electoral college, Trump won the Presidency just like all other presidents have since the beginning of time.
Obviously, I would want to keep them there until proper procedures can be adhered to. Do you know how long that would take? If you were a Syrian refugee who's home, belongings and family which had just been taken from you, how long would it take to prove you are not a threat?
It seems to me the immigration system needs fixed instead of banning people from the Middle East. This is just another temporary fix that will lead to more hate and violence towards America.

Judge ruled Trump likely acted against the constitution in his first week in office. Yeah, nothing to see here. It's not like he swore an oath or anything.
Also, FYI, the judge did not lift the ban, she halted the ridiculous cruel theatre of deporting people who had already arrived with visas and green cards. The ban is still in effect.
