Right, like I said anybody or anything that stands in disagreement with Trump is fake.

HahahHAHAHHAA
Hardly. The military budget has far to many corporate welfare items that Congress forces them to buy because they keep jobs in their districts. Remember the Crusader gun fight? The institutional Army values keeping weapon systems that fight the last war far too much. The F35 is shaping up to be so expensive that the USAF may wind up with far fewer planes than planned; then their was the F110 that was so poor as a fighter that Boyd recommended the Air Force rip off its wings, paint it yellow and make it the fastest crew bus ever?

The military also needs to figure out how to control its pay and benefits costs, currently at ~25% of the DOD budget and even Congress has said that with estimates it would consume the entire budget by 2039.

Trump's plan to increase military spending and cut taxes is economically unsound. Whatever happened to the Republican deficit hawks? Putting things off budget only kicks the can down the road.

If Trump could balance the budget like Clinton did that would be great, but balanced budgets don't seem to be on his radar; instead he talks about tariffs that would raise prices and cost US jobs.

...and I'm the deflector.

Being a republican and not supporting Trump doesn't make you a RINO, it makes you courageous. I'll support my party and its candidates when said candidates reflect my values. I'm as Republican as my conscience, my morals and most importantly the constitution of my country allows.

I'm really disappointed in Cook's Apple. They've become a politically-charged company. This is bad for business.

You're not afraid because the Military keeps you safe. You're in your safe bubble, you have no idea what the world is about. #Trump2020

Evidently you don't either. It's a complicated world, and we're only a part of what protects American national interests.

Iraq/Afghanistan taught me that the world is a dangerous place and that people live in bubbles and have no clue..

Funny, it taught me that people in this country take for granted what they have and how common human decency is universal. Nobody is saying the world isn't dangerous, just that the answer to fear isn't more fear.

I just can't for the life of me understand why anyone would object to this. We are at war with Islam and those people are trying to get into our country to carry out acts of terrorism.
What the - really? We "are at war with Islam"? We're at war with a religion? One percent of US citizens are Islamic. Are we at war with those 30-odd million United States citizens? When was this war declared? When was this war against an entire religion authorized by congress?

I explained above ... it came up in your exchange with tshrimp and another..
I mistakenly responded to you.... i did not initiate the issue.. just made a comment.
IDK... the company I was at when Obamacare first went into effect had no impact on me. Since then Ive been paying less and less until its nothing premium wise. Im also in NYC which is a large city. So I'm sure the number of doctors available and the number of people who are insured in NYC played a factor as it relates to me.

People like you are the reason why the ME is still a hot mess. You're just an agitator. The world can be dangerous if you keep provoking it. I don't need or want people like you going to war on my behalf. You're just making this worse with your attitude.

Yes, let's take something that happened 70 years ago and use that as a litmus test.
The U.S. did many stupid things over the years but we are discussing present day Iran and the religious zealots running that country are murderous scum. Period.
A big part of the reason that the U.S. is so unpopular in the Middle East is exactly because of bits like the one you just waved off as being "old". We - the U.S. government on our behalf - we toppled governments of sovereign nations because it suited us. We caused the deaths of thousands of people. To install governments in other countries that fit our desires better. To help our companies make more money. And you're saying, "oh, but that was before - I'm talking about now"... well guess what, they've got long memories. You want them to be nice? Try being nice to them first. And understand that we've given them an awful lot of reasons to hate us.

Yes I did. But never said it was smart for anyone to do it. You brought in the thing about Trump, when I didn't elude to it in any form or fashion.

You ask why...
Because Apple sells a product that sits on retail shelves, and it relies on every day consumers to make money. When he starts getting political, or making political statements, then he will potentially upset would be buyers who have a different opinion then he does. Never a good idea to slap the face of people in the market place.

Example: This is not the first time he has gotten political. Because of this, my last laptop purchase was a Dell. I fully support what Trump (I have now brought him up :)) is doing on this specific item. Finally some common sense when it comes to US security.
Each time Mr. Cook makes these statements I start considering other avenues to fill my tech needs. He has lost business from me because of he statements in the past, and I doubt I am the only one. Just not good business IMO.

Have fun, I'm sure many won't miss you in the Apple community. Cook has every right as a citizen to voice his opinion especially when his company is negatively impacted. And since the term snowflake has been thrown around a lot around here......are you trump supporters who don't like Apples response not also snowflakes getting hurt and feeling " alienated" ?!

I feel for the people that this affected via Visas and Green Cards; but I am in full support of our President. This is why I voted for him. I do not want people that cannot be properly vetted, regardless of religion, coming to the US. Europe has been in complete chaos through the migrant crisis and I do not want this on my doorstep.

Thank you, President Trump for keeping our borders and country safe.

I feel safe with throngs of people on the streets and random people being detained because of their religion...the very thing this country was founded based on.

Its a little early to be praising Trump for anything. It's been a week. Besides he's not even going to make it to a full term and will be aborted by impeachment. Like that? A little joke for all you Pro lifers out there.

But seriously I think he's trying to legitimately get impeached.

I was afforded more rights under president Obama than under any other president. So yes, I'd say I did have it "good" and am rather certain will have it rather "bad" under the Republicans.

Did the Bill of Rights or Constitution change during the past 8 years. I don't remember any amendments being passed.

I didn't state whether I thought he should've or shouldn't have made a private or public statement. The post I quoted asserted that his statement was meant for his employees, not for public consumption. I disagree with that assessment. I think it was meant for both.

if he really wanted it to be public, he would simply put it on apple.com. kind of like "thoughts on flash" from steve jobs. i'm sure the post ran through PR edits knowing that it could easily leak to the public.
