I am from Europe and you just pointed out why I and no one else i know have a cleaning lady cuz 5$ pay? Maybe to flip the pillows. To sum up what i meant, the thing you are complaining about would make things just more expensive

Wait, so we should forego laws to make things cheaper? Why not get rid of the FDA and anyone who wants to manufacture cheap drugs can do so? Absolutely it'll make things more expensive. The reason produce is cheap, the reason cleaning and moving services and lawn care are so cheap is because the illegal market. And for those who say "my housecleaner is legal" good, but there's tens of thousands that aren't and that drives down the cost for those that are.

Taking what jobs exactly? Every white American including my 18 year old nephew may be getting great grades but HE and his possee show NO ambition and have lived an incredibly PRIVILEDGED life including planned activities like soccer, basketball, camps, golf etc etc etc.

When SOME of these loudest critics prove that their children are hard workers, have a work ethic, and have PASSION to accomplish anything anything for god sake - I'll listen.

HEAR THIS

Americas productivity problem comes from a material driven society that could care less about the conscience of its fellow citizens as long as their cable, internet, smart phones and their two jet skis in their garages are safe! Oh and that they have access to plenty of ammo and dates at the local shooting range.

I started working a job as a stock boy at age 12. My nephew and his friends are 18 going on 19 and yet to HOLD A JOB..these kids have never picked up a hammer or know what the hell a paintbrush can do.

Yea - oh the humanity is right.

America -- if you really want to work then get off your asses and effect real change.

When your kids don't get college scholarships because they were instead given to these illegals don't come back crying.

This cannot be allowed, full stop.

How dare people have to return to the country on their passport.

I just think it's laughable. There's no country that I could go to as an American, child or adult, that would just let me plop down, go to free school, get free medical care, and just look the other way.

Most countries if you overstay a visa you pay a fine and are banned for a long time, if not forever.

You're talking about children born in this country and have never known another homeland.

No, you're absolutely NOT talking about children born in this country. You've SEVERELY uneducated. If someone is born here, they're a citizen. These are those who were brought here before the age of 16 and foreign-born illegal aliens.

I remember when MacRumors was mostly academics, students and people in the creative industry. Conversation on these boards was so much more civilized. Now that Apple has become a mass market brand, the floodgates have opened. Presently the lack of class and basic human decency here is disheartening.

Do you know what else is disgusting? People who have no idea what racism actually is, and instead, applies it to things that others disagree with in an effort to shut them up so as to not hear what they're actually saying.
I hear very loudly and clearly what Trump is saying - all of his racist actions, comments and the positions he filled with racists. His actions speak volumes. Most democrats have heard it, the group of rabbi's who cancelled their annual meeting with him heard it, the business leaders who withdrew from his conferences heard it and I'm sure all of the members of the KKK and alt-right are salivating over it.

So when will Trump pass a law against marriages that allow marrying a American Citizen which later a non-citizen like Melania Trump who marries a American so they can just stay in America, sad. I am still trying to figure out what Sacrifices Donald Trump or Melania have ever made for America other than Melania adult movies illegally.

Also, when having Jeff Sessions to speak about DACA shows how racism is strong now in the White House reminded me of Arian Brotherhood when the losers who would cry about non white people taking their jobs away which is laughable. Last episode of Preacher on AMC was fitting what is happening showing Hitler which pretty much what is happening.

"Dreamers" is a ludicrous and obfuscating term, it's ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Liberals and leftists love to twist words and language to fit their utopian no-borders agenda, which only benefit the top 10% of the country (if that). Tim and his globalist pals will continue to live their protected and privileged lives within luxurious gated communities and mansions, while the rest of us middle class plebeians get poorer and poorer.

Apple CEO Tim Cook this morning sent out an email to employees following the announcement that United States President Donald Trump will phase out the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program over the course of the next six months. Trump has called on Congress to replace DACA with new legislation by March 5, 2018.

In the email, Cook says Apple will work with members of Congress to advocate for a legislative solution that will continue to protect the children of immigrants, and he says Apple is working with impacted Apple employees to provide support, including access to immigration experts.Over the weekend, Cook tweeted that Apple employs 250 "dreamers," aka people who came to the United States at a young age when their undocumented parents immigrated to the country. "I stand with them," said Cook in the tweet. "They deserve our respect as equals and a solution rooted in American values."

Cook and 300 other business leaders also signed an open letter last week urging President Trump to preserve the program or to pass the bipartisan DREAM act or other legislation for a more permanent solution, but it went unheeded.

With DACA suspended, the government will not accept new applications from undocumented immigrants to defer deportation and offer work permits.

While the current 800,000 DACA enrollees are not expected to be immediately impacted and can renew their two-year permits until October 5, if a new solution isn't offered by Congress, people who grew up in the United States and have lived in the country since childhood could face deportation to countries that are essentially foreign to them.

God Bless You, Tim.

I'm probably a left-leaning thinker but...

Are we commenting off of morality, emotion, ethics, law, or a combination of any?

Unless DACA was legislated and signed into law, it's a moot point to argue. It's been over 20 years and they're still not legal? Umm but why not? Is it a point of just pushing off what would never come to fruition?

I can't expect to go to Germany as a non-citizen, regardless of age, and expect to remain in that country over 20 years without any repercussion, regardless of my accomplishments while in country.

Come on dreamers, get it together and follow the laws of the nation and get legal...can't blame it on time.

People think anything MEAN is racist, sexist, homophobic, or some other phobe. News flash, just because people disagree with you don't mean they're any of those things.

I am sorry your job was taken by an illegal alien that has no education and can't speak english. But the good thing is now you have time to make thousands of comments on Macrumors! I see many people convinced of your arguments, and now dismissing the comments of one of the most successful men in the US.

Tim Cook is so naive. I mean, what can a self made billionaire with thousands of employees and a mastery of world economics know about this. We need to defer to the common man like you, who 'just knows' what is best. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

please provide legal evidence that it's unconstitutional.

As far as I know there is no real legal case against most of DACA (there is one small part of DACA that is questionable), the Supreme Court was divided 4-4 along party lines in a 2016 case challenging programs similar to DACA. so do please provide evidence that it is unconstitutional.

Because the 4-4 divide was without Gorsuch and Gorsuch isn't going to side with the liberal wing, making it an easy 5-4 in favor of it being unconstitutional.

You seem to be part of the group that supports Open Borders. Are you?

Definitely not. I am in favor of common sense. And it's not common sense to spend tax dollars educating Dreamers only to send them away and let another country benefit from that. Valedictorians, paramedics, even members of our military and we want to send them away now? That's just stupid

You didn't see the right unhinged every night on TV because they disagreed with Obama.

Where the hell were you when Fox News was going off. Wow.

So you are saying that Trump plagiarized Clinton? First Melania and now him? Geez... does plagiarism run in the family or something, or is this meme just a bunch of BS?

Dreamers were born in the USA. They don't have any other homeland or passport.

You're so wrong.

Talk about racism (or discrimination of a class). So for you illegal alien is synonymous with being an uneducated non-English speaking individual?

Sounds like you let emotions drive you, like most leftists. Thankfully, facts don't care about feelings.

I agree. The Dreamer "kids" can be up to age 35. If you've reached 35 and still haven't gotten legal, then it's obvious you have no interest in becoming a legal U.S. citizen.

If all the young "dreamer" Apple employees have to leave, Apple can then hire a bunch of older U.S. citizens (who are likely underemployed due to facing age discrimination) to replace them. The "dreamers" can then go back to their country of birth to apply for legal immigration (if they are qualified), and wait their turn behind all those people who have already applied for legal immigration ahead of them.

Unless you are descended from a Native American tribe, you really aren't either. And I'd prefer any of these dreamers to any of the native-born dregs we have here who seem to be more into opioids, white supremacy, and militias than contributing to this nation.

There was a very interesting article from the NY Times that lays out the case that bringing in more immigrants and deporting multigenerational Americans would make this country stronger.

The stats were pretty telling; immigrants create more jobs, do better in school and commit less crimes.

Based on some of the xenophobic comments I read here and elsewhere; blaming immigrants, looking for handouts from the govt, wanting to turn back the clock and make this country more dependent on coal and oil (seriously??), the article looks more convincing by the day.

It turns out that Ive was on DACA so all iProducts have been cancelled and Apple will be filing chapter 13 next week.

All of my very white ancestors hopped boats and got here first, settled and then figured out how to become citizens. Nobody batted an eye.

You don't get it either. Illegal aliens are not immigrants.
