Although I have no problems with nuclear power, it's not as good of a solution as sustainable power sources like wind/solar. We should be advocating those first.

I don't really disagree with your sentiment, but I think my point about energy consumption still stands. We use way more energy than comparable populations, especially when you take into account the idiocy of our anti-public transportation population.

I disagree. Wind and solar cant allow us to cut off fossil fuels completely right now. Nuclear can. I think we should be massively expanding Nuclear and then should spend the next 50-100 years weaning off that while we invest in better renewables. Investing in them now without going big in on nuclear forces us to continue pumping CO2 into the air for at least 50 more years when there is no good reason for it. Nuclear solves our biggest environmental problem as far as I can tell.

What alternative energy did you switch your house to? Solar? Did you get a battery pack to store energy? I wish I had that option but I cant afford it and my house is too small, I wouldn't generate much solar from my tiny roof.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. My electric company offers the option to switch over to solar and wind. Some day I'd like to do a solar panel installation.

So everyone is upset over this, what difference will pulling out actually make on the environment ? The planet has been changing climates for 1000's of years, some of you people act like your mere existence means everything should stop changing now.
Your not getting that the environment is changing in a negative way for humans. That is why we need to pay attention to what we as a species are doing to our planet.

North Korea is not Trumps fault; it's the worlds fault. You don't just suddenly start developing a nuke.

Oh ? And whom the US asked permission to develop nukes from ? Or they don't have to, because they are the "good guys" that will use them for the "good of humanity" or something ? Are there good nuclear bombs and bad nuclear bombs ?

IF nobody in NY will do business with him- he probably got the better of them on a deal. Now he's getting the better of the deals with the world FOR the US citizens. Sounds great to me!
If YOU think you are saving the world by driving a Prius (on your way to your private jet) - go ahead- just don't dictate what I drive.
Sure. That's why he can't even prove that he's worth as much money as he says he is. People are just supposed to take his word for it.

People don't do deals with him because he loses money on deals... but you want me to believe Trump went bankrupt multiple times because he was getting the better deal on someone.

Secondly, every little bit helps. A former VP of the US needs to be on a private jet for security reasons.

Right now, as in like tomorrow? Sure no. But it also takes a long time to build nuclear reactors and see a return on investment. I think you can do both. But that's only one of the issues, we also have to reduce consumption, buying stuff that's made and shipped from overseas, and driving stupid cars everywhere.

Right because if we go to North Korea it will simply be for no reason and not as if we have been provoked. Kim is begging for it at this point.

Yeah, kill them all, that will show them. After all, the weapon industry lobby's reserves need to be spent somewhere. Time for another war sponsored by US.

What country is the US announcing weekly that they plan on destroying? How many US citizens are put in labor camps for speaking against Trump. Don't act like North Korea deserves to be treated like the US when it comes to nuclear weapons, that's extremely stupid.

Give credit where credit is due, despite all the well deserved criticism Apple has gotten in the past few years, I applaud Tim Cook here for the effort at least, thank you.

They can do a lot lot better, but they have also done an awful lot too, agree with your post.
If Trump wants to place jobs over the planets future so be it, he won't last too much longer anyway I don't think?

well, today we won by pulling out of the scam..............
It wasn't a scam though. You can't get 90% of scientists and technologists to agree on much of anything but they all agree that climate change is an issue we need to do something about. Again anyone with any knowledge and data on the subject of climate is telling us we need to at the very least try to protect the planet. But people with zero knowledge or background on the subject say lets not care. That's like when the doctor tells you not to smoke or you may end up in the hospital but people do it anyway for 10-20-30 years then they wonder why they have to walk around with a breathing tube in their neck....even then some of these same people still smoke.

Additionally, the lazy midwesterners need to retrain so they can get off their duffs and help make clean energy right here in the US instead of stonewalling the world on the climate change issue. Green jobs are readily available but they are just refusing to train and get those jobs and instead sit around complaining about everyone else. What happened to personal responsibility?

Trump is spot on in dumping involvement in the Paris Accord - the damn thing is a joke. China and India have huge leeway to continue use of coal / coal fired plant construction / and the associated pollution whereas the accord tags America very heavily. No free pass for India and China. Do something meaningful to cut pollution but stop wasting $$$ on crap like this thing.

BTW - a pollution reduction plan crafted by politicians and lawyers - what a joke.

We can't stop driving cars everywhere. Have you noticed how massive the US is? Because of that towns and cities and major metropolitan suburbs have been designed in such a way that travel without a car is nearly impossible and at the very least is extremely impractical. It would be easier to move our country to all nuclear power and all electric cars than to change the way we travel to stop using cars.

Saying that CEOs should stay out of politics is like saying the president should stay out of businesses.
Government stopped AT&T and T-Mobile from merging, how dare they. Right?

Government and businesses go hand in hand. The whole push for Trump is to have more jobs and such in America, so the CEOs of the largest companies in the world, let alone America, have every right to give their input. Businesses actually help the government.

scam was the U.S paying into it. no thanks.

Absolutely no one has suggested that. No one would support it, and no one wants to see it happen. NK does need to be dealt with and military action might be necessary but the US isn't alone in wanting to control the insane man trying to make a Nuke and threatening multiple countries with total annihilation on a weekly basis.

The only people whining are people like you.
Have you read the news today? The whole damn world is whining about this.

Of course the US is going to pay. We are directly responsible for most of the climate change that has happened. Why shouldn't we pay for it? It's not like conservatives have any money to pay for anything. They don't pay any taxes and get more money back from the government than they put into the government...but they are going to tell the rest of us how to budget our money.

trump is right. we don't know who is actually getting $400 billion dollars. thats too much money. its time to stop American citizens from paying for everything

What $400 billion? As for the US, it has committed to $3 billion a year. More than any other country, but that's been our job. We're richer than any other country. What, you're not getting a higher income? Blame trickle-down economics and tax cuts for the wealthy.
