Keep repeating your side, as if climate change doesn't happen daily. Oh wait...it does.
Your use of "climate change" with the word "daily" is a tell that you don't know the science and, probably, don't even how science works. Your opinion isn't a "side" because you're ignorant of the science. It's just a gut-check opinion and the science doesn't give a crap what you think. Or me either. Personally I don't care for pollution but if the evidence was that humans aren't impacting climate in dangerous ways, I'd be right there with you. But it isn't. Full stop. Everyone knows that you and your ilk not only don't know the science but also aren't interested.

The difference is that we go where the preponderance of evidence leads. You go where your gut wants it to lead, just like geocentrists, flat earthers, and people who believed you could cure fever by bleeding. Science answered those questions too, just as deniers hated it at the time, just as it's in the process of answering this one. The entrenched defensiveness of the doggedly unenlightened is all so familiar. It takes maturity to leave science to the scientists, especially when you don't care for the conclusions.

Science is just as happy being wrong as right, because there is no wrong and right. There's only fact, faithfully gathered and statistically scrutinized, that supports or doesn't support a hypothesis which must then get repeatedly tested to see if it holds up.

Yawn....

"the weather conditions prevailing in an area in general or over a long period.
"our cold, wet climate"
synonyms: weather conditions, weather;
atmospheric conditions
"the mild climate"

As I said, they change constantly. This is a fact.

And as to the little "or me either" snarky, condescending comment, trust me, my opinion of you and your comments, you really think I give 2 ***** what you think? No, I don't, and further responses are going to be ignored, the elitism that oozes from you daily is quite disgusting.

Withdrawing from the agreement despite the settled scientific consensus is very unfortunate and will potentially have very bad consequences for future generations.

It will be one of those moments in history that we look back on and ask "What were they thinking??"

Exactly, and that is why we should not worry about this decision.

It's already written into the script. Trump will stay "in".

Trump has been wrong about a few things - including global warming issues. He is flexible enough to learn and adjust his views. It's all part of the setup for the time when he really has to negotiate something.

Certainly Trump should see the (shallow) business benefits of "going green" - Green tech can be great business.

This agreement tells the US what we have to do in order to reduce our carbons while at the same time allowing other countries to increase theirs. The agreement is detrimental to the US' economy while beneficial to others. Whether you are liberal or conservative this agreement is a very bad deal for the US.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad and pathetic.

The elite you speak of, are in political power, and use their power to indoctrinate people into believing climate change is a hoax, all to enrich themselves, at the expense of people like you.

The Trump regime isn't full of climate scientists, its full of fossil fuel kingpins, and people like the Koch brothers have a masssive web of control over way too many of our nations institutions. The rich people like Elon Musk who are trying to do something about this problem have no political power, period.

I'm afraid you're guilty of what you've accused others of having fallen for, except the propaganda you swallowed was from the elitists who profit off of doing nothing, and continuing the course of environmental destruction, all to enrich them and them only.

Wow, brainwashed much.

Al Gore made millions exploiting climate change technologies, at the expense of people like you.

Obama wasted public money on crony capital companies like solindra, at the expense of people like you.

The obama regime was full of government bureaucrats and green energy kingpins.

Every example you just made, has a vile counter argument on the left.

I'm afraid you're guilty of what you've accused others of having fallen for, except the propaganda you swallowed was from the elitists who profit off of doing nothing, and continuing the course of economic destruction, all to enrich them and them only.

Let's find out if Apple and Tesla are getting government subsidies to reduce their carbon footprint. If they do, why should they? If they don't, why do they care if Trump is withdrawing from the Treaty? They can continue doing what they are doing to reduce their carbon footprint whether the US is in the Treaty or outside the Treaty.
Because they care about their home (i.e. planet Earth). Don't you? Trump is f***ing it up for everybody. Since he's in his twilight years he doesn't give a stuff about future generations. I'm proud to say that his selfish attitude isn't held by the majority.

Unfortunately most Americans aren't smart enough to replicate what California does.

If they were smart, they would have done it already.

Unfortunately, Republicans don't control the judicial branch, where we actually limit your rights and freedoms and control you.

And, remember, far more people voted for Clinton than Trump. America is a liberal country.

The people have spoken, and the vast majority of people voted for liberals.

That shows you how dense and aloof the American population is then, voting for an individual like Hillary Clinton.

If you really want to sum up "I have done literally no research into this event, but liberal is good, right?"

Because we learn about the dinosaurs' climate through material evidence, and the only "evidence" we have for man made climate change are computer models that don't work when you plug in known temperatures from the past? Because we know that CO2 does not historically correlate with global temperatures, especially if you go back to the ice age and beyond? Because so much "evidence" of mmcc is fake (hockey stick, NASA editing historical temp records, putting temp sensors near a volcano, etc. Why fake evidence if it is real). Because there is a HUGE financial incentive to support the politics of the people who give you your funding? Because Christina Figueres of the UN accidentally let slip that climate change is about transforming (controlling) the world's economic model? Because it was warmer in the 90's when there was less CO2? Because CO2 isn't a greenhouse gas, and anyone with half a brain knows that water vapor is both much more abundant and much more effective at trapping heat in our atmosphere? Because "oh, but if you're wrong the world will be destroyed" is a kindergarten-level BS scare tactic that no thinking adult should seriously entertain?
[doublepost=1496301620][/doublepost]

Sure, everyone is on board with a clean environment. People tend to forget that the US is the cleanest industrialized nation in the world. We were the cleanest before the Paris agreement (it's not a binding treaty), and we'll be the cleanest afterwards. This is just another unjustified attack on Trump. Obama should have been attacked for circumventing our legislature in the first place.

So many inaccuracies in one post. Where to begin?
- The current climate change cannot be explained by natural phenomena alone. We tried and failed. If we take into account human activity, we see a perfect correlation with what we're OBSERVING.
- We DO have reliable models that match known temperatures of the past
- CO2 and global temperatures DO correlate, but not in the simplistic way you may assume. Doubling the CO2 does not double the temperature rise.
- the hockey stick is not fake: CO2 is now above 400ppm which is the highest level in 800.000 years (and most likely 2 million years)
- the solution of climate change is indeed to transform the world's economic model. It's the only way to transition to a more sustainable world. What's wrong with that? You want to go back to mining coal?
- CO2 is a greenhouse gass. And the more we put in the atmosphere, the more water vapour there will be in the atmosphere as well, even worsening the greenhouse effect.
- if climate does change rapidly, the world as we know it will change, as it did in the past. And that new world may well be hostile towards human live as we know it.
- the US is not the cleanest industrialised nation in the world. That's Iceland. US scores just above average.

Since he's in his twilight years he doesn't give a stuff about future generations.
Same could be said for all the debt Obama and the Democrats have racked up over the past 8 years, that will effect our children in the future far worse than the climate will, yet I don't see you complaining about that.

Yes I agree that more government produces a wealthier society.

Who wants to be a poor country like Somalia? Only Republicans that live in the countryside where they have to poop in outhouses want that.

Real Americans in New York and California don't want to live like these poor Republicans and their small government.
[doublepost=1496276531][/doublepost]

I still don't know where you got your science degree.
[doublepost=1496276607][/doublepost]

Correct.

Hard work is for the poor.
[doublepost=1496276842][/doublepost]

Yes, the scientists already showed you that.

What is your excuse?

Are you a scientist?
Your post makes me cringe. You were probably brought up on a common core education. Yikes.

Yes, and how do we know all this? Because of the work of climate scientists. So why would you believe them if they tell you the climate has been changing for millions of years. But not when they tell you we are putting dangerous amounts of greenhouses gases in the atmosphere, and running the risk of derailing the climate?

Denying climate change is the equivalent of going to the doctor, who tells you he discovered metastatic cancer, but you're response is: "what the heck, that's impossible, I'm still breathing!" and refuse all treatment. You may well be alive in 3-6 months, but you won't be in 3-6 years.

Doctors can't predict the future, and neither can climate scientists. But they can make pretty accurate assumptions based on solid scientific data we shouldn't ignore.

The moment the left began to treat this issue as another tax, more big government, funding science for the answers to fit the agenda, they lost.

Most people see through the scam.

What do you think average joe see's when he is told repeatedly there is a crisis, but the elites and the hollywood types preaching down to them do not actually do what they say.

I suggest we treat the issue with healthy skepticism. East Angola, faking temp numbers?

Having the US bound to an agreement that China and others don't adhere to is a loser. Perhaps a new protocol is in order? One that both sides can live with instead of the obama way of ramming things down our collective throats.

We'll never find out what would happen if Trump cured world hunger and cancer. We'll probably learn soon what happens when millions in the USA cannot pay for health care anymore.
You mean like it already is today because of King Obama? We already know what will happen. Pay attention.

a second term

Not sure that would be possible with a Democratic congress constantly attacking Republicans in 2018.

For society to improve think of others than just yourself.

How would could you reasonably argue taking heathcare away from those in need a good idea? Removing environmental protections when climate change is happening. I can go on and on. This isn't my life is society.

You know i miss President Bush. At least he wasn't such a terrible person. I mean seriously trump is a bad person. Can you agree with that?

This is what saddens me. You are projecting a falsified MSM narrative onto a guy who is nowhere near the evil that the Bush family possesses. You seriously just compared a Globalist Elitist who has literally zero of your best interests in mind and started a fake war where thousands of our own young men and women had to die for profit and revenge vs. a dude who facetiously commented on grabbing a groupie.

A 72 year old man who's "biggest transgression" was that. Think about that. 72 years and that's what they came up with. They labeled him a racist for protecting our country from ILLEGALS. Not LEGAL immigrants, mind you. A guy who every single person of any ethnicity that's met him says he's not a racist. A guy who DATED a black woman. lol. A man who demanded his limo driver to pull over to STOP A ROBBERY.

You just said he's a bad person and said Bush was an "ok kinda dude". And you wonder why you lost. Unreal.

So you're against the elites?

Well, we elites are against you then.

I'd like to see all countries add tariffs added onto u.s imports if Trump chooses to leave the Paris accord.

Hit the u.s economy hard. The world will adapt. Short term pain for longer term gain. Competitors from outside the u.s will take advantage.

It's because Trumps supporters are terrible people.

We need to open the borders so that anyone can come into the country and get a job. Foreigners work harder than natives anyways. Natives are drug addicts that keep ODing on opiates, and some, I assume, are good people.

Old people like Trump still thinks America is like 1950's Detroit. He has no idea how a globalist economy works.

Again, he's done nothing to warrant impeachment, those pesky little facts, they get ya every time. But hey, keep wishing it, just like he had no chance of winning. Have fun with those delusions.

You don't think traitoring against the US warrants impeachment?

Agreed - we get stuck with most of the bill and of course the rules hamper our business climate the most. No thanks. Sorry.

Incorrect. Dealing with climate change now will be less expensive than dealing with the consequences later on. There are solid numbers on that. Also, businesses aren't in anyway hampered by these regulations. That's something republicans and multimillionaires like you to believe because the less regulations, the more they can pollute and make profits in unethical ways.

Just like they don't want educated, empowered people. Poor, hungry, uneducated people are easily to control and manipulate to work in their factories for low wages. Ironic how it's exactly these people voting conservative. They do have a very good business plan though, and they know how to sell it. I'll give them that.

For instance: give me one example on how businesses are hampered. You are just repeating what the orange leader is telling you without thinking for yourself.

All part of shipping MORE of our jobs to China, India, etc.

Lets get out and stay out. Regulations are killing this country. No surprise the large companies want to stay in - more protection for them through regulation!

MAGA!

Oh please, like you ever had a chance to get or interest in a job assembling smartphones, sewing t-shirts, or putting soles on sneakers.

Make solar a cheaper alternative to fossil fuels and let the market drive it.

A few interesting links - solar pricing is cheaper or approaching the cost of coal...

Trump is still pushing coal for votes.. where in the economic big picture, coal is on life support.

( yes, coal is just one item of fossil fuels )
