Use this link: https://reserve.cdn-apple.com/US/en...1&sourceID=email&rv=0&path=&iPP=U&appleCare=Y

Regardless if you are in iUP or not, that link will reserve you a phone and doesn't lock you into iUP or anything. It also has accurate inventory and they update the URL w/ new data at midnight local time.

When you show up in store at your reservation time, you can do iUP, buy it out right, or do carrier financed, they'll let you change to anything. Speaking from experience. That URL is purely reserving you a phone in the store.

Don't bother waiting for the other link that keeps saying "check back at 12:01."

Last night this link would not show Plus models unless you were already enrolled in IUP.

Exactly. The IUP link that everyone has never has any Plus models available. There's another URL that you get after Apple has confirmed that you're on an existing IUP plan, and that URL does let you reserve a Plus model. Unfortunately, nobody has posted that URL yet.

I actually don't think IUP users had this particular link. More likely it had an additional parameter or possibly there was a HTTP Cookie that gave them preferential selection options.

I think that's a good thing. It rewards people who have clearly indicated they're willing to upgrade every year via the IUP. I've been considering the IUP myself, but I've been holding back due to all the recent issues they've been having (credit history not passing, no option to get one on pre-order day past midnight PST etc.), but this gives me more confidence in signing up.

People already signed up are getting a better selection? That means everyone in the UK waiting to join IUP is missing out, or nobody is missing out seeing as nobody is signed up for it here? Gonna be checking every morning at 6AM. I'm really hoping there's more 7 Plus stock around tomorrow as I really want my config soon!

Do UK Apple stores get stock deliveries on a Sunday?

Yeah he just walked out with one. I helped him reserve it around 10:30am Mountain.

I highly doubt that store was offering Plus models to walk-ins. They are probably reserved stock for IUP people.

I don't think Apple is trying to reward people on IUP. I think the reserved inventory is to make up for the website not working for them while everyone was preordering. I can't imagine Apple keeping the inventory reserved for much longer. I predict everything will be back to normal by Monday at the latest.

I don't think we have seen a 7 Plus JB 256 in the flesh yet, do you care to post some photos please?
Need to find another phone/camera to take some photos!
It's currently in a Midnight Blue Leather case. Waiting for my Slickwraps Naked Wrap to arrive (have never used them before, but closest thing to not having a case). I've never used a case in the past, but this thing is really, really REALLY nice looking. It's somewhat intimidating, actually. And no, it doesn't look or feel like plastic - more like the way the front of the phone feels.

I think so, yeah. Seems unlikely they'd allow something as frivolous as a Sunday to stop them making more sales, especially on a launch. iPhone launches aren't dictated by weekdays and what not, there will be a delivery of iPhones every day in the morning. That's what the guy I spoke to at the store was suggesting. I asked him about deliveries and he said, "Yes, that's the idea anyway. It'll be busy all weekend."

Although saying that, I just Googled it and it seems to be split opinion.

Yeah, that's exactly what I said. I helped him reserve the phone at 10:30 and he got one today. I didn't say he was a walkin.

I know. I was just saying that even if that store had a supply that wasn't all reserved by IUP, I bet they would have told walk-ins that they didn't have any.

Yup bet so.

Not sure if this helps anyone but Apple Store in Alabama has 1 7p in stock 128 rose. According to istocknow

I know! I live 15 min away from that store. Its the carrier, and capacity i want, just not the color.. debating just grabbing it anyway instead of waiting for the matte black

Folks, just got back from picking up the 7 I reserved earlier today and wanted to share one tidbit of information that one of the Apple Sotre employees gave me while I was waiting in line. She said the reservations page wouldn't be going live until sometime Monday because stores weren't getting any new inventory tomorrow. I have no idea if that's accurate or if this employee would even know that information. But I just thought I'd share.

Yeah I was thinking the same but seem to recall stock not changing for reserve online on a Sunday when I was trying to get an Apple Watch. Guess we will have to see what the morning brings for us.

Good luck!

Even if they don't get new shipments tomorrow, they could still get a new shipment before today is over, and not have time to log it until they close, meaning new stock tomorrow. Just trying to look on the bright side. Oh, well... I'll get the one I want eventually...

That's what I'm doing, just gotta find one in Colorado somewhere.

Getting a plus will be hard. The 7 seems really easy to get. Walked in and out in 10 minutes with a phone (matte) and no reservation.

so weird that the only 7+ I can find under IUP are rose gold. Seriously Apple? Plenty of blank in ATT/Verizon.

Hmmm. Interesting. That's the first plus I've seen through that link. I'm sure come Monday/Tuesday it will start getting back to normal.

It'd make sense if they are holding them for iUP reserves, I'd be willing to bet that was a return.

You are probably right. Makes perfect sense.

To those planning to use that link tonight:

I want to reiterate that when using that link last night only people enrolled in IUP were seeing pluses. I was looking at the exact same store as someone else and couldn't see any. Someone else enrolled in the program using the same link said he could still see multiple plus phones in various colors and carriers.

Whether intentional or not, enrolled IUP members that joined for the 6 and 6+ last year were getting priority access to plus stock. Whether it is the same tonight that remains to be seen. I have a feeling it will be and on Monday reservation stock will then be available to everyone with no more priority access to IUP members. Probably an opening weekend opportunity that Apple is unofficially offering to IUP members without publicly acknowledging it. It seems as if Apple is trying to make up to the IUP members for the preorder fiasco.
