@THE JUICEMAN from what the tech was tell me is the IMEI number is forever tied to a specific carrier. While is can be used on T-Mobile it will always be a verizon iphone. He seems pretty confident about it, but he still could be wrong. Let me know if you find out something different.

Ok it still didn't work but now the plan is to activate it on att. Get a new account with them and everything. Then use my t mobile sim in it and cancel the att account. I'm going to talk to att right now to see what happens if you start an account and then cancel it.

Definitely not Midnight PST. I stayed up till 3am and there was no sign of change. Woke up at 10am and saw the site was up. So somewhere between 3-10am. I'm thinking maybe 5am, not sure though.

Must be nice. Best Buy turned me away on launch day at 20 minutes to 8. They had no pluses. At 11:30, a surprise FedEx delivery showed up with a 128GB Matte Black 7+. I was so pissed as I was long gone. I found out at 2:30 when I was back to check.

is definitely for the Upgrade Program. i still was able to get the phone in the store, but they asked me twice why I decided to pay my upgrade plan phone..

I am finishing up at the apple store. I had reserved a phone for pickup. When I explained what I wanted to do (exchange my gold 7+ for the black 7+). The apple rep said no problem. He ended up doing a return of my existing phone and sold me out the new phone. So it appears that if you want to do an exchange, try to reserve what you want on line and then go to the apple store to do the exchange. My original phone was purchased from apple online and i used the AT&T next plan.

That's ridiculous. Heck I made the reservation at about 1230 this afternoon too. Was shocked to get one

Actually it appears to be 8 am in the store's time zone. I am an early riser and have watched it roll across the country. If you watch th site you will see that states show up as an option as it hits 8 in their time zone.

I don't think you can do a carrier upgrade via the Apple Store... you can only pay in full, do the IUP or Apple Next I think..!

Left store with 128 on Att and used my carrier upgrade with no issue what so ever. Even had a cute chick help me out, it was a good day.

[doublepost=1474240093][/doublepost]To summarize. You cannot reserve a att phone and then put it into the IUP on t mobile. UNLESS!! You create a new account with att and activate the upgrade plan. Then the phone is unlocked so you can use it on t mobile. I'm doing it right now. I'm going to cancel the ATT account and ATT said it will be $0 charge to do that within 14 days. Obviously I don't recommend doing this unless you are crazy like me. But it does work!! Woo!!

Any of you settled for the matte black because that's the only black available, but really wanted the jet black?

I had no issues going on and reserving and picking up (full price) using the IUP link at 8:30 am pacific time today... almost all the stores in the bay area had a full selection of every model, size, color, capacity, except Jet Black of course ... for 3x 7+ 256GB silver. Store had black too, but I needed 3 silver ones.

Done and done. Returning the nasty gold one I had delivered launch day, and returning the shipment from China that's got a silver coming this Wednesday.

Actually at this point I'd rather have the matte black. Whatever I can get first is what I will choose. Kinda want a 256GB, but it's WAY more space than I need.
