Apple.com 6/17 Online Reserve

what i found is that if you dont reserve or cant reserve now, check back when UPS does their local scans for AM delivery (around 10:30 - 11:30am)

that is about when i found the Black 128 7+ Verizon in Escondito. actually there were a quite a few that gets popped up right at AM delivery.

Not sure why this inventory shows up right now, but maybe it arrives late in the afternoon evening when there is no staff to receive the goods since they are helping the stacks of lines of people wanting to feel the new haptic button.

I saw that the 128gb Black 7+ was available at my same store. I had my reservation canceled in front of me as I asked the specialist to do so.

Whoever got the Berkeley reservation better be a part of the IUP...lol
 
Why is IUP inventory treated with priority over a normal device purchase?

Its as if they WANT the old phones back for some reason, maybe 3rd world markets, or maybe how a returned device lands in their accounting books?

Exactly. I told the manager if the links are so top secret; they should be accessed with a username and password. I know I might be wrong but the internet is a place for information. And the link is publically available. The email even states you can use carrier installment plans.
 
If there's a will there's a way. You just gotta think about it but you can still yes, do that reserve and walk away without doing IUP.
 
If I was attempting to reserve a 7+ using the normal way of in store pick up (NOT THE IUP LINK), which it showed up available in a number of apple stores in my area and it said it could not contact the carrier services, does that mean it wasn't available anymore?

if you are trying to do it now, maybe the API link between apple and the carrier is down for maintenance, which would coincide with the middle of the night you should be sleeping and not activating phones oclock.

It's about luck and who you are dealing with. And Apple caught on so many folks are either being canceled or told NO at the store. If the link is so top secret; use a username and password to access it. Until then, oh well Apple.

If anyone has such an issue, you need to tell the specialist or manager that their colleagues on chat and phone are *specifically* providing non IUP customers with that link. I was given the link on chat and I double checked with my local AS specialist on phone. His exact words "just Google the link, you won't find it on our website."

Give it a try yourself, when Apple chat reopens tomorrow ask the specialist how you can reserve a phone if you're not IUP, they'll copy paste that link and tell you to pay in full once in-store. Take a screenshot, keep it with you in-case they give you trouble.

there must be a reason why they are treating the inventories differently or at least priorities. they should NOT be doing this over a technicality. you are paying the exact same price for a phone at the end of the day.

Nope.

Think about it.

those in the past who've tried for the IUP and got denied...they're told they can find alternatives. Then they can pay in cash or walk out with no iPhone.

There are tons of reasons why one would get denied, not just because of bad credit. Sometimes folks type in the wrong info...

Outstanding advice for everyone denied at Apple or who is about to try the reservations for the first time. Best logical advice instead of telling everyone "yes , it's going definitely work and you'll definitely get a phone without IUP". Chat with Apple. Get a reference/case number. Get the link and there's no way they can deny you service.

Seems like some of the Apple stores are playing hardball on the iup. When I went in last Sunday I made a iup reservation for me and my wife. Got there and signed up wife under a new iup and got her phone. With mine, I just said I was going to pay in full and the employee let me. ( no phones traded in.)

I always play the psychological games with employees. Be nice, relate to them, and bring your screaming 3 year old with you.

and start asking to see the 149 dollar earpods and 50 dollar leather case , and have them already in hand while giving them your american express.

and then when they start charging you, say you didnt really want the accessories cause you hate the color :apple:

has the other non IUP site every gone up for people to do reservations with? all i seem to see go up is the IUP one that has stock.

they update throughout the day, mate
 
Well will have to keep my eyes out for updates throughout the day. With just this rose gold near by ... I'm holding myself back.

Will hope that it updates at around 11 during ups scans.
