Yup started at 8:08am yday, still nothing can happen.

Do you guys keep historical data? At 6am est like half of the stores were red but now most are green. Do you know what time that happened? Or could you say the last time the Delaware store turned green?
 
So let me get this straight, apple stores are pissed off or turning people away for using this link to reserve. Does that include folks who are signing up to IUP for the first time?
 
Anybody thinking it will refresh at 8:01 am pst again?? Since they seem to be on pst time?? Apple mistakenly canceled my iPhone Pre order that was suppost to get here next week and now I'm screwed

Hey just wanted to say I noticed that starting last night after midnight, at least here in NYC, it seems that the stock that's listed on the IUP link is also available for pickup if you use the Apple Store app... Just tap the blue "Currently Unavailable" at the choose your capacity screen and it shows me stock at all nearby stores.
A 128 GB Matte Black 7 Plus's were listed as available at the Grand Central Apple Store in the IUP link last night after 12:01 but also available as Pickup if you purchased in the Apple Store app. It let me add to cart and select a non IUP payment option. This may be a better option for people worried about being turned away for using the IUP link. Good luck!
 
Why is IUP inventory treated with priority over a normal device purchase?

Its as if they WANT the old phones back for some reason, maybe 3rd world markets, or maybe how a returned device lands in their accounting books?

IUP customers are theoretically the most enthusiastic customers who want to upgrade their phones every year. It makes sense to try to keep them happy by giving them priority access to new phones on release.

So are the rest of us NOT in IUP too - we upgrade every year, getting up in the middle of the night on pre-order start day, the whole deal. We just pay in a different way.

I have tried in vain to find either a 128 or 256 Matte Black thought the reservation system. I have also tried the Apple Store pick up option every morning at 8AM as instructed. No luck at all and my 10/4-10/10 'pre-order' has been PFS since Saturday.

I had a Sept 23/27 date. in preparing for shipment that just hung there for 4 days, until it auto-cancelled the order. Apple and ATT blame each other, even though my account (and credit) is in perfect standing and fully upgradable. I had to place a new order for Oct 12-18 delivery date. Not happy.

Well, programs like IUP and other early upgrade programs sure were created for enthusiasts like us. But if we choose not to formally participate in one of these programs, then I don't have a problem with people who are signed up for IUP getting priority.

That sucks man. There was definitely Matte black stock in all sizes just sitting in NYC Apple stores for a good part of the day Sunday according to the IUP link. Messed up that they would let it sit there for these "supposed" IUP customers but not free it up for walk-ins/non IUP.

Man the same bs happened to me. It was preparing for shipping for like 4 days and then i check yesterday and canceled I was like wtf? Called att and same thing as u, that their end was good and it was apples fault. And my account like yours is upgradeable and in perfect standing. Same deliver date as u as well

Hmm, anyone else getting a "We're sorry, this service is unavailable right now." When trying to set up a reservation through the IUP link with a phone that Istocknow and Apple are showing as in stock?

Little concerned the gig might be up with this link :/

Had a 7+ that I found here in Texas nearby reserved and by the time to confirm it was gone!!!!!

One per account? As in you can't do two in one night? Or two in general? I did one on Sunday, will I have a problem doing one tonight?

You cant do 2 reservations for the SAME day on the same Apple account. If you completed the Sunday reservation, then you should be able to make another reservation for another day.

Apple said it was AT&T's fault. AT&T said it was Apple's fault. And neither will do anything to fix it. When Apple cancels an order, its gone - no chance to correct the issue or keep your place in line.
 
Also been using bjoern-friedrichs.de:8000/iphone-av-checker/ for my quick mobile checking. Seems to use the same information just not sure on update speed with them.

Try it out at 12:01am your local time. Your luck will be much better then. That's when it refreshes. Camp it out and you shall get a phone.
 
So I reserved the phone I wanted last night at 12:01 am, got an email confirmation, and this morning another with instructions to finish my order. So I do so, and now it's saying the phone is NOT available for in store pickup, even though it did last night. What a ****ed up system this is...
