Apple store online won't let me reserve a Verizon 7+ without a verizon account? I want to use it on T-Mobile. Any suggestions? Store near by me right now has it in stock.
If you buy upfront/full price, they will sell it to you. But if you do IUP, you have to activate with the carrier designated.

Another day w/o any major improvement on plus stock. Maybe most stores are waiting for 2nd wave of shipments like that on Saturday?

i had a black 7+ reserved for Sunday pick up last weekend but changed my mind, since i couldn't get my wife a rose gold one on the same day. Looks like from whats going on in the Jet black world, that the next round of shipments are on the same aircraft that have been stuck in china with no movement for the last 24 hours or so. I expect a huge update tonight or tomorrow morning.

So is the link only for people that are already in the IUP program? Can I avoid all the discussion if I just buy the phone using the IUP program? It sure seems like they're going to be favoring IUP customers going forward, might as well join the party.

There has been major improvements. You just have to wait til midnight everyday that's when they update the stock info with shipments they got during the day.

I start hearing the IUP trick is not working in some apple stores. You must buy with IUP or nothing.

Does anyone know why I keep getting the error, "We're sorry, but this service is currently unavailable" when pressing continue on the reservation page? It happens no matter what phone configuration I try to reserve. It was happening last night as well.

@Union Square?! I guess you got the unit I was trying to reserve (it went OOS as soon as I clicked submit)

What?! I was trying to reserve at 12:05am and it was gone before I hit the last confirmation button

How did you get one at 4pm...guess me staying up late every night is not paying off :(

From what I've seen there are 2 updates for these stores: 12:01am and then whenever their daily delivery comes in. I think some are stashed for tomorrow's stock, and just a few are made available immediately. Both yesterday and today between 3-4pm they got more 7+ Black ATT 128GB at Union Square. Guess I'll be back online at 12:01 again.

A point to make here, the reservation link does not account for all the iPhones each store has in stock. I was told by my local AS specialist that the stock on counter is not part of the stock you see online. They prioritize walk-in customers and then from time to time keep a small amount of stock to the side for online reservations.

I think I'm better off walking in to the store tomorrow when it opens rather than just waiting everyday at midnight.

i am noticing that when i go to iStockNow.com I search inventory, it shows there is inventory, I am right on the apple site and choose same configuration within seconds and shows unavailable. Am I missing something?

it means you need to speed up your clicking

update for u guys.. just came back from the Union square apple store here in sf with my brand new 128gb matte black 7 plus for att =) was also able to go with the att next program and not the IUP. the guy i got was very cool and helpful. when i told him i wanted the att next he told me how did i reserve it and just showed him the email. then he said dam it was for the IUP and said it wouldnt let him choose anything else. so i politely asked if he could ask a manager and he said sure and came back a min later and he told me he could do it. he just had to close out the reservation and then go through the att process. so this is possible. for me it was pretty seamless and im happy for that =) makes up for my cancelation i got yesterday from apple for the one i was going to get next week. there was also a pretty big line outside for people with non reservations.

I have to share my story because I'm still in shock at the kindness of people -

Today I reserved a 256gb matte black 7+ at the Apple Store in Toledo, two hours from where I live. I tried reserving one yesterday at the Apple store near me (Crocker Park), and it got cancelled for whatever reason. I posted earlier in this thread about that experience, but long story short, I have never been treated like that by an employee in my life.

Fast forward to today - I called the Toledo store before I headed out because I wanted to make sure it didn't randomly get cancelled again, and they said it was in their system and I was good to go. I made the two hour drive directly after I left work, and as soon as I walked in that store I could immediately tell the stark contrast of how they were in comparison to Crocker Park; they greeted me, asked me how my day was, actually engaged in conversation. The guy that was helping me out was extremely nice, and started the process to let me pick up the phone. It was taking awhile for them to bring it out from the back and so he said he was going to go see what was going on.

Ten minutes go by, and another employee comes out and asks to see my reservation email. I show it to him, he writes down my reservation number, and goes back to look again. I started thinking "here we go again..", but I wasn't nearly as annoyed as I was yesterday solely based on how differently I was treated and they were actually trying. After waiting awhile longer, they come out holding an iPhone 7 Plus box. He said for whatever reason, they didn't have mine back there, but they did have a 128gb. I said that was completely fine, and even BETTER, because that's what I originally wanted; the reservation just said they only had 256gb in stock.

After talking to the employee that was originally helping me from the beginning for a bit, I asked him how they managed to still have one in stock. He said that he actually took the hit for me, and it was the phone set aside for him - but he wasn't going to let me walk away without a phone today, especially after driving as much as I did. I said absolutely not, and he insisted I take it because I would've done the same had the situation been reversed.

I apologize for the long-winded post, but that gesture honestly made my entire week. I know it's just an iPhone, but that went beyond great customer service to genuine kindness and selflessness. As I was leaving, I made sure to tell the manager how great he was and how different the overall atmosphere of their store was compared to Crocker Park. I wish I could personally pen Tim Cook an email about that guy lol, because I'm still amazed at how nice that was to do.

Needless to say, I now have a 128gb matte black iPhone 7 Plus :)

That's awesome! Congrats!

I saw a 32GB matte black at Crocker yesterday morning, but I had class and couldn't make it at all. Hoping Eton gets some tomorrow since that's a 5min drive for me up there.

Never been to Crocker (always been an eastside person ;)), but Eton has always treated me well. Congrats again on your phone!

istocknow.com hasn't found me even one phone. Always says no stock. I've been trying to secure a Matte Black 128 or 256 in Albany, NY with NO luck. I check the link at 12;01-12:30. I also check Apple.com at 8-8:30AM (sometimes earlier). Been trying since Saturday. It's starting to tick me off as my 'pre-order' has been stuck at PFS since Saturday.

We'll just wanted to let you guys know I picked up my iPhone 7 128 GB plus and I did the IUP and it worked smoothly and perfectly. Thank you everyone for everything. See you guys next year!
