Drove 3 and a half hours and was able to purchase my 7+ 128GB without buying it with IUP. Was interested in IUP but I forgot my credit card at home. So I asked the guy is there any other way I could buy it, he gave me all my options and was awesome about the whole thing!

Overheard a convo the employees were having about a lady reserving models to send to china to resell, they said she bought 17 different phones yesterday!

Anyway, loving this new phone!

WTH Apple?!? 17 phones? Incompetent employees.

Just placed a reservation for a 128GB MB 7+ (AT&T) for tomorrow morning at 11am!

I went into the Apple Store app, looked at the iPhones, and where it says "Check Availablity", it came up as "Pickup Tomorrow". After almost crying and realizing it really did say pickup tomorrow, I placed my order and was able to use my Next upgrade without going through a iUP fiasco.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes from the time you check in to the time you leave? I have to work tomorrow at 1, so I'm hoping no longer than a half hour/45mins.

How do I reserve one for pickup on the Apple.com website? It says the 128GB will be available tomorrow, but I can't figure out how to select hold for pick up. This is the official method.

Not sure on the website. I had to go through giving my credit card, accepting that it was using my upgrade, etc. before it let me select either shipping or in-store pickup.

FINALLY! I was able to make a pickup appointment for a 128GB Matte Black 7+. Because I already have an Apple finance agreement in the system and a pre-order to cancel, I went ahead and chose the pay in full option. This way it will be held in a way they can't contest. I'm sure sorting this out tomorrow is not going to be fun, but at least I will have my phone!

Congrats!

Question. Last Friday I picked up the phone I reserved for the IUP (a silver 128 + for Verizon) now say if I find a matte black 128 + for Verizon and reserve it, do I just walk into my local store where I reserved it and say I want to exchange phones since it is within the 14 day return period?

Do you know if I can use the apple store app on my macbook, since i don't have an iPhone? I installed it through iTunes but it won't seem to open.

Still no JB in my vicinity. Will check again tomorrow and see if they have on their 2nd shipment.

Don't waste your time. There hasn't been a single JB that has appeared since launch day. You have to wait at least 2-3 weeks.
