Were you presented with the More Everything plans, though? My friends said they were given the ME data plan options when they tried to add a line to their existing Nationwide plans. It specifically said More Everything.

So, I placed an order for NEW line with a iPhone 6 128GB with ULD to add to my account. I have attached 3 screen shots. So, there's the ME plans, and the NW plans, along with the "widget" I alluded to. The widget showed up in Safari but not in Chrome or FF - again. Please note that the "widget" is offset a bit, not where I'd expect it to be in a typical Apple.com order - I've placed orders for laptops and peripherals before and never seen the layout to be this, well, off.

I added a line to my existing 3-line family plan in my account. I was then presented with the options I selected. I had two surprises.

First surprise. I was able to select options that I can't select in My Verizon - like the $5/250 messages option.

Second surprise, and maybe this is the one that's causing you grief. During the checkout, my billing contact number is not my billing contact number. It's actually one of the numbers I procured during an AOL from 3 years ago - I can't change it in the Apple.com interface, and an Apple tech told me that I need to contact VZW about this - despite my Apple billing information being correct. And, my "billing address" in the VZW process isn't correct - I live on an "AVE", but the system insisted on my being on an "AV"; again, I couldn't correct this despite My Verizon and my Apple account being "AVE". So, this inconsistency could FU a financial process.

I accepted the "suggestions", and my order went through. I'm getting a mail order for about 7-10 days out, unless I want to pick up my iPhone in Boise. I like Boise, but I'm not driving 800 miles to pick up an iPhone...

I'll be ordering 1-3 more from Costco tomorrow for my existing ULD lines...

Is the widget in one of the screenshots? Or where exactly on the page is it? I don't see it or I'm missing something from this. I can't get the NW plans to come up

It's this navigational "arrow" - it, and the additional options showed up in Safari (I'm using a Mac), but not in IE, Chrome, Opera, or FF (Mac or Win). The ability to navigate in the other browsers was that arrow - but greyed out and non-selectable. I had the ME and NW plans available in all browsers, however. I didn't crop that image - that's the way it looks in Safari - not at all typical of Apple's web site or checkout process.

What I am suggesting, though, is that VZW may not have accurate contract data - during my checkout, once I had my device and options (data, texting) selected - some of my contract data was not correct as it was shown in checkout. Parts of my address were not as they are in my Apple or VZW accounts, and my phone number was not correct. I had made changes in my VZW account - 18 months ago, and they show up as correct now in My Verizon, and I had the My Verizon web page open at the same time to check. And, I'm suggesting that ya'll check with VZW to make sure your details are correct in billing as seen by 3rd parties. I KNOW Apple has my details correct - they've shipped over $15k of laptops (business, not bragging) to me since March, and I've signed for them. There could be some legacy contract-hiccup that's preventing the NW plans from loading.

When I go through the Costco 3rd-party system I'll be checking to see if they have the same data piped through the checkout process. If I have any more information I'll post them here. FWIW, 2-1/2 hours have passed since my apple.com order and the My Verizon app isn't reflecting any new activity.

Does anyone know if there is an option via Apple.com for expedited shipping.

If you did ship to home wouldn't it show up on your account once it ships and not before ? Have you been charged yet or is it still processing?

There wasn't any option for expedited shipping, I would have selected it. Honestly, I've never had a problem with Apple, going back to 1995. They ship it, I get it the next day - from a 1st-Gen iPad back then to a maxed-out rMBP a few weeks ago.

This is a first for me - having to wait, but I've never dealt with iPhonemania. I've ordered $3k laptops and my CC gets charged, and it's shipped inside an hour. If it wasn't for this Apple/VZW ULD thing - I wouldn't have... But, with my history, I wouldn't be surprised to see my iPhone shipping early...

When trying to "Add a line..." I get now this:

We're sorry. We can't find your account information with Verizon Wireless.
Please verify your information and try again.

I could get to the pick a plan spot before. I wonder if they caught on.

EDIT: nevermind. After hitting "Check Eligibility" 20 more times it worked. LOL

So I added a line and have in-store pick up for the iPhone 6. I also chose unlimited data. If they do a scan activation today but don't take it out of the box and I swap Sim cards with my current unlimited data before powering on, should I assume that everything will be okay? Is that what people are doing here?

I just want to make sure that I am getting this right. I hope that I'm reading it the right way in what people are reporting. So here's what I'm going to do:

1. I'm going to pick up the phone and if they do scan activation is that okay?
2. I am going to take the phone out of the box and swap SIMs with my current unlimited data.
3. I will then power the phone on and hopefully all will work out.

Does this sound good? I've done a lot of reading on here and over at slick deals this seems to be what my research shows. I guess I am really confused about this activation thing. I didn't realize that Apple can do skin activation, will that present a problem?

You activated the iphone 6 with the SIM that came in the phone, right? I tried this on Friday, as stated in a past reply, but it did not work for me this way. I activated with the SIM that came with the phone, phone kept saying I needed to contact CS when trying to make a call, even an hour or so later.
At least one other poster on SD is saying they did it successfully, too.

Just wondering if anyone has specifically done the SIM swap successfully with ship-to-home added line.
I don't think anyone has received an added UDP line iP6 ship-to-home yet.

Can you link to the SD thread? I was only able to find the thread about keeping unlimited if you use an upgrade by buying through Best Buy and swapping SIM's, which is different than this thread about adding a line.

Thanks. I've read through that thread from time to time in the past but that's a different topic, unless there is mention of the same method in this thread in there somewhere.

That SD thread is if I have an existing line with unlimited data and have an upgrade available. I could use my upgrade to purchase a discounted phone from a place like Best Buy, then swap the new SIM with my existing SIM to keep unlimited and get upgrade price on phone.

This thread is about adding a line and getting unlimited data on the new line/phone.

The details are in that thread just go to apple.com place an order and have it shipped to your home then activate it normally since it's a new line you don't have to worry about swapping sims then you are cooking with gas

What do you mean by 'then you are cooking with gas"?? I thought it was okay to swap sims. Someone on here tried to use the new sim and it didn't work but that other poster got it to work. I'm so confused

That's the thing. As I previously reported, I did order a 6 on apple.com on a new line with the "unlimited iPhone" data plan, got the phone delivered to home, turned on the phone with SIM that came with the phone, phone said it was activated, but would not let me make a call for at least an hour (kept saying I needed to call CS to get it activated). Called Verizon CS and they said the data plan that I chose was not valid and I'd have to go with one of their current (not unlimited) data plans.

There is lots of mixed info but I thought that you were the pro at flipping Unlimited lines and would know :D

Same thread... You just have to read posts from starting about the 19th or 20th, once ppl discovered that adding unlimited also worked for in store pick up. It's a lot of reading though.

Thanks, I'm seeing the information in that thread now. Just a ton of information so I didn't see it.

Np.. It's weird that some ppl had no issues using the sim that came with it, while others do. I'm not sure what to do as I have one coming next week. Have you tried activating the phone again just to see what happens? Also, would it be easier to just return the phone and order a new one for in store pick up?

That's what I just did. I canceled my ship to home and going to place another for store pick up and hope I have success this time. I'm just tired of the wait and need to see if it will work ASAP. I will make sure to not let them activate in store. I will be trying a different Apple store also and hope I have scan activation success
