I called Apple after Verizon told me that they still not seeing the phone returned and Apple rep said that give Verizon a day or two which I find weird as others told me it should cleared right way. Right now, I still see that line on my Verizon online account so not sure what to do next.

if you got as far as adding a line to your account then it will take longer to clear.

The only other reason I can think of that my ship to home order wouldn't activate is that my successful use of the Best Buy method (from a separate iPhone 6 order that arrived the same day and was used on one of the existing lines on my account) resulted in a pending activation being stuck on that line. The pending activation could be blocking the addition of the new line.

Looking at my Verizon account online, I can see that the old device still shows up on the line that the BB method was used on. Any thoughts on how to get rid of a pending activation after using the BB method?

I have gotten the pending order taken off my account by getting to level 2 tech support

How? What do you say to them? I may have to do that myself eventually..

something along the lines of: hi big red, i'm trying to see what the prices would be if I purchased more minutes or something but my VZW won't let me see or make any changes to the calling plan/features

I went to go pick up my order I placed online at Apple.com. I opened a new UDP line. I have two UDP (month-to-month) lines at the moment. The Apple agent scanned the phone and after a few anxious minutes she said everything went through. I checked my Verizon account from my phone immediately after I got to my car. Looks like it worked as I have another UDP line from the iPhone I picked up today. My hope is to transfer the phone number from one of my existing lines to the new line. I guess I'll have to port the number which in turn will cancel the month-to-month line which is fine since I don't really need another UDP line. Has anyone else done this successfully yet? Thanks.

I like that! Haha

Many of the news outlets reporting on the planned throttling indicate that it's only for users who have already met their "minimum contract term".
Um because that is what Verizon said in the written notice they are legally obligated to give you per the customer agreement. Check your august bill.

No other statements by Verizon matter - only the written notice they gave you.

I have been beating this drum for a month now over on SD and you would not believe how many people want to argue that there is no need to get back on contract by 10/1/14.

The worst case scenario is that b/c no one is supposed to be able to upgrade and extend their contract on a UDP line, if you are not on contract by 10/1/14, your UDP line will be permanently marked as a throttled line regardless of whether or not you ever get back on contract.

That 10/1 date means nothing just look at your customer agreement when you upgrade. Don't let anybody tell you any different. If you are under contract with unlimited you will not be throttled

Just added another UDP today and now have another one processing for pickup tomorrow. So far 4 UDP lines added. This is beautiful. One more to go and I'm set! Lol

How would one extend a contract on an UD line??

I won't be able to get a 4G (iPhone 5) phone until Friday or Saturday, probably won't be able to get it activated until Sunday. I was going to order the iPhone6 on BB and have it expedited for delivery Friday, so I'd have it at home and ready to do the sim swap on after activating the iPhone 5. Will this work?

Hi, I have four lines:

Line 1-iPhone 4-unlimited data (me) want this phone number- no contract, want new i6
Line 2-iPhone 4- unlimited data- no contract, want new i6 (employer may take over line, so won't matter)
Line 3 -android-no contract, 2 gb- wants phone number and new i6
Line 4-dumb line- no changes necessary

I don't want to deal with much hassle with porting numbers in and out. I have option of adding a new line with UDP ON APPLE.com. Sounds like I should do instore pickup when there is stock- they scan and I just power up the new phone with its own SIM( since I have no other SIM to use and it should work fine? Then I take new iPhone6 and switch devices online with line 1- thus leaving me with a iPhone 4 and new line I don't need. I have no experience with eBay-anyone want to AOL new line? I' m not looking for profit- just to cover cost of my own phone. I'm also willing to sell iphone4 with it. Also, once that new line is off- I can get another new line and use that for line 3(but cancel line 3 by porting that number to new line?)

I'm new to this, forgive any faux pas
Any thoughts?
