WOOT! Just ordered a iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Gold available for pickup at my local :apple:Apple Store:apple:. I have was able to add a line and pick iPhone Unlimited data.

Now I just have to get out of there when them successfully scanning it and not opening it, correct? I picked the option that it was a gift during checkout. I'm hoping that it helps the matter of them not opening it in store.

I currently have 3 existing UDP LTE devices. I should be able to

1. Not boot new I6 with new sim
2. Insert one of my UDP nano sims into the new I6 and turn on
3. Once booted and working, I should be able to put the sims back to their respective devices

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The gift thing shouldn't make a difference. Most people walk out with sealed phone boxes.

I don't know what your exact situation is, but I just turned the phone on. Didn't swap out any sim cards.

You are correct. After thinking about it. I would need to turn it on. I just need to get a successful scan/activation in store. Fingers crossed.

Man this is confising, at least for me. So If I upgrade line 1 and get a iphone and then after its activated switch it to line 2, would I still have a pending order? I should probally just get a cheap 4g phone and put in on line 2 and then just do the best buy method. What do you think? I dont need or want a new phone on line 1 right now. Thanks everyone for the help.

if you just want 1 then i'd do the best buy method.

u need to be adding a line to a line that already has unlimited data.

Right. My family plan has two unlimited data smart phones and two dumb phones. When I go to add a line, I don't see the unlimited data plan. Do you know why?

Are you sure you are clicking the blue arrow all the way to the right until it greys out?

- Chose 450 minutes, 250 text messages, skipped adding data on the first screen, added data on the second screen (all the way to the right, unlimited 29.99/month) (please note that the plan options I selected were identical to my existing plan, don't know if that matters)
When you mean skipped adding data on the first screen do you mean you clicked the blue arrow until you got to the end? Did it show you the More Everything data plans?

Can someone elaborate on the store pick-up process?

My situation: I am authorized user, UDP. Father is account owner, TDP. We are in different states.

I would like to do in-store pickup myself, but would not be able to have proper ID. I can provide any personal info needed, but no matter I can't match ID (different names too). I could have him pick-up, but obviously would prefer to do it myself.

This also means that I only get the unlimited option when entering my phone number, not when I enter his. Hopefully this doesn't cause a problem. I know to select add a new line anyways.

Thanks!

Ok pickup in store everything worked perfectly udp intact. I want to sell new iphone 6 I will take out the sim card before selling. Im going to buy a LG3 from a friend. Can I just go to verizon and ask from a new sim card for the lg3 since nano sim wont fit? Will this be a problem even if line already in my account?

Don't worry at all. They could care less if you walk out without taking plastic off the box. I've gotten 5 phones so far not one has been opened in store. And just check that the new line shows up in your account with UD and u can just turn on new phone with the new sim in it cause the line is already active.

Please remember that I'm adding a new line to an existing account that already had a single line with ULD. (see my earlier post)

Any answers to by previous question? If I sell the new iphone 6 and go to verizon for new sim for a lg3 for same line will they make something of it? Line is already active and working fine.

there will be problems. take over the account name via AOL if you have to do a pickup. he is the account holder right now and would have to pick it up otherwise.

But you wouldn't know about it at all if it weren't public.

Not true,

I saw the option to add a new line with unlimited before i saw this thread. I would have tried it. I don't mind that people are able to take advantage of it. As others have said, this has to be planned, otherwise,..... it would have been fixed by now.

Won't be fixed until 4th quarter

Thanks for the info. Finally got to the final checkout and there's nothing available anywhere nearby (either of us). Guess I'll have it shipped to him anyways.

Thank you that is so awesome!! Unfortunately, my friends who had individual plans didn't get the first screen where you select the minutes and when they tried to hit continue and not select a ME data plan, they got an error message.

I doubt it. They would have to do a lot of work and that would require the already overburdened servers to go offline for updates right in the middle of an iPhone launch.

They are weighing the small numbers of people who know about this against the much larger numbers of people who are ordering iPhones, some of whom are willing to give up their UDP to get the new iPhone.

What browser were you using when you were able to add a single line plan? Safari?

Nope. Your fine. Just take the android phone with you along with the nano sim to verizon and they will just scan a new sim onto your account. You already have the active line. Once it's active your safe. You can always change minute plan, texting plan, and add or remove the hot spot feature at will the only thing you don't do is touch any data options or when the contract is up don't get another phone subsidized otherwise you loose the UD. Now if you want to just use the nano sim you can. They make SIM card frames for all the sizes. I have a set because I use a nano sim in my iPhone and then sometimes take that sim and put it into a mifi jet pack. The mifi uses a micro sim so I just put it in the sim adapter and I'm good to go. You can find the sim adapters all day long online like eBay etc.
