How long should one wait after acquiring a udp before conducting an aol. Also, if I were to sell the subsidized phone that I got off this udp, would I need to activate it prior to selling?

Just wanted to update everyone on my experience:
Ordered a phone yesterday for personal pickup, selected 'Unlimited iPhone' as data plan.
Went to Apple after work.
Signed for the activation and phone and left.
(For those concerned about Apple insisting to open the box, i simply said "This is a gift, is it okay if i leave with the box sealed?" and got "Absolutely" as the response.)

I then followed this process:
Did not turn on new iPhone. Turned off 'old' iPhone (one with UDP).
Removed and swapped SIMs.
Turned both iPhones on.
New SIM in Old Phone displayed "Waiting for Activation". After a minute it then said "iPhone is Activated". While i waited, i went through the setup on the new phone, just to get to the home screen.
I verified in Safari on my account that the line was there and that UDP was shown.
Finally, I turned off both phones, and swapped sims back into the correct phone.

I am also interested in the answer. If I may, I also want to know what minutes plan would be applied to the new user after AOL. Would it be 450 minutes, or More everything?

It would be what's currently on there but they can change it to suit their needs

I've done an AOL on the same day a line was activated. And the new owner would be able to select their minutes/messaging plan as long as they stay on the Nationwide plan.

So there would be no issues breaking the one line off of the 3 that I have? They would just take the data and then add whatever they are interested in?

Prior to doing the aol, do I have to activate a phone on the line? Or as long as the line shows on my account, the new person can activate their own line as the first phone associated with it?

So I could potentially hang out at the Apple Store flippin' UDP lines and iPhone 6's, lol!

I haven't had any issue with it. I've turned on the phones to activate the line but not sure if it's required.

Yeah, I guess that would be a good business plan. Apple/Verizon shouldn't have any problem with that.

Does the current line with UDP needs to be iphone or can it be other phone such as Samsung Note that has nano sim with micro sim adapter? I just want to confirm that this sim swap doesn't need to have iphone in 1st place to swap successfully. Thanks

Think it just needs to be an unlimited plan it shouldn't matter what phone is on it

Sorry I should have mentioned it my initial post.
Currently I'm on a family plan with 3 lines. 1400 minutes. UDP on one line. I will be adding another line with UDP on apple.com. So in my scenario, what do you mean by "what's currently on there" since it's a family plan and not an individual.

What is the voice and text currently on your family plan? That's what the new line will share as well. If you have 700 min and unlimited text that's what the new line will share

I did an AOL about an hour after picking up my phone.

Still waiting for stock....might just some unlimited 5s lines first, sell the phone and wait for a 6...

Yea...no 6 (regulars) for 2-3 days that I've been actively refreshing.

The one time that it showed up at 5th ave store in NYC, it was gone by the time I went to grab my wallet and drivers license. (I pressed refresh instead of clicking next)

All they have around here are 6 128gb but there's no reason to not do it at this price.

When I add, yes the line will share 1400 minutes. but what would be the minutes plan on the separated line after I have done an AOL? I am assuming at that point the new line is no longer a part of my family plan, right?
