Is the window still open? Can't try it at work because "shopping" websites are blocked. If it is, I'll run home and do it.

Hey I hope you guys do get it to stick but don't get your hopes up too high:D
Verizon is very strict about unlimited data plan users.
And soon will make their life even worst on October 1st:D
They've been pretty lenient on customers who manage to get through their loopholes. I haven't heard of a case where they went back on their word, regardless if it was accidental.

There was one weekend on their website where upgraded lines got to subsidize a new phone without changing their contract, and anyone who got through (including me) was allowed that luxury after it was fixed.

It's a Vzw gift card so no.

they never said that it has to be bought from verizon in the terms and conditions, just that an iPhone 6 is put onto the line. either way they still get a customer on a line, they make the same amount of money since verizon doesn't really get a break on pricing and since they would want a customer who comes with a fully paid phone.

Right. Sorry, I misunderstood your question. I thought you were asking if you could use that $200 to help pay for the phone.

Ordered

I also have ordered. Do anyone know if Global Option is by default applied on the new line or we need to get it done from verizon?

What do you mean by global option. All Vzw iPhones are factored unlocked if that's what you're asking.

If you're asking about adding a global plan to your account, you'll have to call Verizon.

While ordering phone from Verizon website it asks a question if this phone will be used internationally and if answer is Yes then it adds the Global Option which is I think international unlock.

Doubt it has anything to do with the international unlock.
All verizon iphone's since the iphone 5 are fully unlocked for any GSM carrier in the world whether you answer yes or no.

Yeah I was asking if I can buy at apple.com and trade in at VZW. For testing, I went through the trade in process at VZW. It looks like it has to be done at VZW. Buying at apple won't count.

has there been any official word yet from verizon or apple regarding this considering the cat is out of the bag?

Loophole might be gone. Just went into Apple to add a new line to my old Family Share plan and it won't give me unlimited data. Oh well. I was too slow!

That will only show up if you have at least 1 line on your plan that currently has unlimited data.

Still shows for me. I have unlimited plans on my account. I'm tempted to add more for resale. :D

Not gone...was never there for some of us. It never showed up for me either yesterday when I tried to add a line to my Nationwide Talk and Text plan with unlimited data. The only choice was a modern plan.

I can confirm I have the option still open too. For those who ordered, do you have to give Apple both your SSN and Driver's License/State ID #? I can understand the SSN (credit check), but I haven't had to ever provide a ID# for any of my previous credit checks for services or even credit cards.

This is normal.

Yes. I've had to do this when taking out a new line in the past with other retailers.

Thanks a lot guys, getting a 64gb gold now. Was hoping to get a plus, but don't want to risk things changing in 4 weeks.

So you added new line with unlimited but instead of iphone 6+ you picked iphone 6 only? Is there a big gap in delivery date between 6 and 6+?

your better off making that line active and then swapping the phones out at the apple store, don't risk no chance at all.
