Do you currently have unlimited data? You need to have that first. Does the option for unlimited data show up on apple.com? If not, it won't work for you. That option is the only way that you will get unlimited data.

I have unlimited data, but sadly, the unlimited option isn't there on apple.com :( . Any other way of doing this? I also read that people choose the 2 GBs and do the sim swap and also have success.

Where did you hear about the 2gb ?? Is this with the add a udp line via apple or another method?

Thank you ma'am!

Try using the safari browser. People have reported success on it when it doesn't show up otherwise. .

You do not want a 2gb line. There is nothing to swap.... You can get a line, get a family plan then try apple method. Return 2gb and cancel that line. Nothing to swap!

Thank you sir.
Verizonwirless CSR.
Like anyone with any knowledge at all as to how Verizon's system interfaces with Apple's couldn't figure it out in 2 minutes maybe less. They wouldn't have a sales person looking into this - it would be a System IT person and they would know how it is that Apple's system knows which options to present to you.

It's not rocket science - Verizon uses feature codes.

Um, I mentioned my mama. My mama is old and I bought her an iPhone and an iPad b/c she wasn't able to figure out how to use an android. I am taking her iPhone away and getting her a Nexus if Verizon gets the Nexus. She will be all confused at first, but I will just set up the Nexus UI to look like an iPhone and I will tell her it is an iPhone 6+ and she won't know the difference.;)

He is confusing upgrading a UDP line via apple using the BB Method with adding a UDP line via apple using the DesertSilver Method.

LMAO Love the Nexus idea. Android for life.

Ok, I think I figured this out....

I add a new line. THEN I see the "Unlimited iPhone" option. Stupid question, but I don't understand... am I going to have to switch phone numbers? How will I be able to cancel the newly added line if I just upgraded from it and used the phone? Will I just be canceling my current line?

Thanks!!

Yes.

You never cancel any UDP line. You sell your UDP lines. So switch phone numbers b/t lines and then SELL the off contract UDP line. For an off contract UDP line you should be able to get at least $200 for it b/c someone can immediately upgrade it using the Best Buy Method. So your new iPhone would be free.

Or just do the BB Method on your current UDP line to upgrade it and call it a day.

Read the wiki.

Of course they will let you add a line. You will pay them $960, and that does not include the monthly taxes, and the amount you pay upfront + taxes on the phone. If you get Edge plan you may save $100. Remember you are still under contract on your current phone until it ends.;)

Question:

I got a new UDP line on my existing Family Plan. Got it activated in Apple store without issues, but haven't opened the phone. Can I now activate a new Verizon iPhone bought at full retail from apple store without losing the UDP data on that line?

If anyone is interested in a UDP I don't want mine anymore - am willing to hand it over to someone. would take a donation if someone were willing to help pay down gas and toll to get to apple store, but even without, am willing to sign over my line for someone who wants it.

PM me

That's very kind of you. I'm sure the person that takes it will be very happy. :)

I don't think you understand what is going on in this thread. People are getting rich here.

Are these not selling on ebay?

question I read a few pages back that some were having issues activating the ship to home add a line apple unlimited. mine arrived today and was wondering if I should take it to the store and tell them its a gift and see if they can scan activate for me.? any insight? would that work?

When I do an AOL, can I transfer both the line and the phone together? i.e. the buyer takes the line and activates the phone on that line?

Yes indeed

Yes indeed

So when I try to activate an iPhone 5S (bought at full retail at apple store, never used/activated before) on the newly added UDP line, it asks me to use my "existing" sim. Is there a way to do it without opening the iPhone 6 that came with the UDP line?
