So when I try to activate an iPhone 5S (bought at full retail at apple store, never used/activated before) on the newly added UDP line, it asks me to use my "existing" sim. Is there a way to do it without opening the iPhone 6 that came with the UDP line?

So you want to use the 5s on the line that was created on the 6??? If so it would be best to use the sim that came with the 6

Add a line and see. If it doesn't work, you can return the new phone w/in 3 days and not even pay the activation fee.

So I can return the phone to apple within 14 days (which I assume cancels the line), but if it is more than 3 days, I still have to pay the activation fee?

whoa wait a minute

no I haven't and I will be mailing my phone back and canceling the line tomorrow

For the right price i would pick it up. email me with the details. I am looking for one to keep on my line I just don't want to pay crazy money.

My shipping estimate was 7-10 for it to even ship and I got it in 5, and it activated just fine for me.

WTF. I've had mine for 4 days and still won't activate. Called apple-they said call vzw. No thanks. I am now within the original shipping time frame listed in the order processing email from apple and still no luck activating and no new UDP showing on vzw.com yet.

Time to return.

Can anyone help?

I have a family share plan with 4 lines on Verizon. 2 have UDP.

Every time I try to "add a line" on Apple's website, I get the above message after entering my credentials. My friend gets through just fine.

I've done it when stock was readily available in my local store, and my bill is fully paid off.

Try different browsers

I have a UDP that I would like to AOL to someone for free. It's currently part of a Nationwide talk and text share 700. I'm not sure if that matters but I only want to AOL a single line not the whole family line.

sorry, hope it's not a dumb question.
for those that acquire AOL accounts with unlimited data, say you are a new verizon customer as a result of acquiring an ULD account from someone selling or giving it away. what type of talk plan do you get stuck with? and are you allowed to add or reduce minutes?

Whatever comes with the AOLed plan but yes you can change it to suite you better but 'watch' them like a hawk.

so if someone was on the 700 shared minute plan, and added a new line with unlimited data, then AOL that line, the new owner of the line would be on that 700 minute plan alone, correct?
